    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
The morning started warm, hazy, damp and full of birdsong ... the haze is lifting now and I think it’s going to be a lovely day ... real ‘growing weather’ as my late Pa would say.

Tonight’s supper will not be pizza ... instead I’m making this

    https://www.jamesmartinchef.co.uk/recipes/tart-brioche-with-smoked-haddock-and-cheese/

and we’ll have it with a green salad.

I saw James Martin make it for Johnny Vegas a few weeks ago and I’ve not stopped salivating since ... couldn’t get Tunworth cheese here this week but Camembert will be a reasonable substitute. 😋

    Morning all,

Beautiful day here, but it needs to be after yesterday, torrential rain all day. The forecast does look a little more settled now for a bit anyway. Poor roses are all battered down. I think I'll dead head the lot and give them a fresh start.

That recipe looks interesting @Dovefromabove, you'll have a queue again! 😁

    Hi all

    Glorious here.

A few more funeral phone calls to make, then I shall be out planting dahlias and Cannas.

o  Daughter 1 and family aren't coming. Son, 14, had a football accident yesterday, fell and a large boy trod on his hand. They have just spent most of the night in the very busy A & E in Poitiers hospital and are exhausted. A bone is broken.

Son 1 had bought food for lunch but it's now cancelled and he's invited his best friend and family tomorrow to help eat it. I may go then to see the new baby.
