    Hi all

    Good luck with that @Hostafan1.
Can't cope with more funeral stuff today, so back into the garden, if my aching back will allow it.
    Massive hugs from me X

No wonder the cats fighting woke him, the garden is full of tortoiseshell fur  :o  Why on earth do people let their cats out at night ? :#  It's when they fight, catch nesting birds and when they get run over on the roads too ... when I had to drive for work, early morning at this time of year, it was unusual not to see at least one dead family pet in the road 😢

Well, two of OHs thick woolly jumpers are dripping on the line, and the bread is out of the oven ... it’s been a good day so far

It’ll be even better later on

Just got some hollandaise to make 😋

    Mine too.

Been to the market, got the sausages from the English farm shop, animals all free range, and veg. Then went to Leclerc and also picked up the winter duvet from the cleaners.

Now I'm going to clean bedrooms and make beds for daughter 1's visit this weekend. We are all lunching at Son 2's tomorrow to meet the new baby.

Here too,  I am getting plenty this year from my old Asparagus bed. Quite surprised as I thought it was played out,  glad I didn't dig it up this winter.  I will wait now till the new bed comes on stream.

@Busy-Lizzie - there was a programme on recently (can't for the life of me remember what it was) but scientists were invited into the garden where they gathered up snails from all 4 corners of the garden and marked them in different colours, according to where they had come from.  They mixed the snails up, but all the snails went back to their original places.  Clever little beasties!
@Hostafan1 - we really must do that too. But I dread having to scrape up all the documents etc. and get them in some kind of legible order. My Dad kept all theirs in a little case.  One solemn day, after his terminal cancer diagnosis, he sat me down and we went through everything.  I was very grateful for that.

Good morning all, I may have to put socks on soon! It's that chilly. We had a hot day on Monday but it's been crap since then, low cloud and rain. We have internet problems at the moment which wont be fixed until next Thursday!  Apparently there is a large network failure so they have given us an extra amount of GB to use wifi hot spot from my phone. I really don't understand all this technical stuff but OH seems to be figuring out.
Nothing doing outside today, just had a quick look at toms and cucumbers and they are ok with all the rain and chill.
    Have a good day everyone.

    Good afternoon everyone.

Muggy again here and sort of overcast/sunny.  Maybe good growing weather but super good for aphids et al.  @D0rdogne_Damsel  I hope all your clients have departed before the storms hit later this afternoon.

@floralies  someone (apparently)  severed a main cable last week (Orange) just over 40,000 for nigh on 48 hours.  Do you think there is a connection?!!**!!?  :D

@Dovefromabove   The asparagus looks delicious - I love it  and eat it raw!  I made a sumptuous risotto with it not long ago - fiddly to make as I had to puree the stalks which was added last minute making the risotto really creamy!  But worth the trouble.

    @punkdoc and @Hostafan1  My thoughts.

Weeding, hoeing still an ongoing thing.  Bindweed, mares tail, portulaca (which I eat) and couch grass - none of the above will let me pull it out by the roots!!

    Happy gardening to you all.
