@Busy-Lizzie have you seen this lovely news?
Not that far from us or your OH's place ... we love going to Oxburgh Hall but have always thought the grounds were crying out for someone to do something imaginative with them ... sounds as if it's going to happen at last  :)

    Evening.

    Did I miss cake?!

Busy work day and then did a mission to Dad’s to unblock a downpipe causing an area of flat roof to pool water. Success in less than 1 minute!

Hope you are all safe and cosy tonight.

@Pat E Interesting article in the Guardian about NSW rivers and lakes refilling - https://www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2021/may/22/after-the-deluge-australias-outback-springs-to-life-as-mighty-rivers-flow-again Reminded me of your photos of your river returning to life.

Dove, thanks for the article about Oxburgh Hall.  I love reading about historical things. 👏👏. We watch a lot of shows on the History channel.

Our trio of Roos has returned to our hill after an absence of a few days. I must admit they wouldn’t have had much sunshine over those days because the fog hadn’t  lifted until late. There’s evidence of someone snuggling down in the pine needles under our pine trees. At least they would have been dry. 😁

re the water in the Darling river system, Steephill, you might like to look for articles about Cubbie Station. 😡 grrr!   The govt. allowed Chinese business people to buy it and dam the river. Several years ago.

. morning folks, you were late Pat,2.15not like you. Aunty Rach, there is still a decent wedge of my Death by chocolate left. When I got home, Hubby had added MORE chocolate flakes to the top and double cream to his slice. Oldest daughter texted said the asparagus quiche was the best I had ever made,I gave her yesterday's spears as well.was lovely to see my 2 friends one after nearly 18months.  Grey and gloomy, dishwasher on after yesterday's baking, washing machine on a deep clean. Have a good weekend folks

Morning Nanny Beach. 😁 We are living strange hours lately, mostly because we don’t have to be anywhere by a certain time, so please ourselves. 😁. Playing with colouring in books and videos at the moment between hanging washing on the line. All good, and relaxed.

    Morning all.

Thank you, Dove. I've been to Oxburgh Hall twice, grounds looked a bit neglected, but one day it was very cold, maybe wrong time of year. I'm glad someone is going to look after it, hope there will be more flowers and roses as well as trees.

Another day of rain and painting the bedroom ceiling.

    Good morning to you all.

@Obelixx  There is a great (but much temptation) place at St Martin de Londres in the Pic St Loup (delicious wine!) that may interest Possum in her new venture.  Here is a list of their wares:  she will probably find what she is looking for.

Cloudy, overcast, no wind, no sun.  Hoping for some moisture but not hopeful.

We had no internet for over 24 hours as some clever technician in Beziers, severed the main cable and over 40,000 users were cut off - no landline, TV or computer.  Dread to think what happened to students or companies that used this operator!!

I hope everyone has a good weekend - Pentecost Weekend here - Bank Holiday, so the place is heaving with holidaymakers galore - all fresh out of lockdown!!

    Good morning all.
More rain, but at least the wind has dropped.
