@punkdoc My sincere condolences to you and your family.
@Obelixx Yes, the 25th May is St Urbain. Le vigneron n'est rassuré que la Saint Urbain passé. - And - Gelée le soir à la St Urbain, anéantir fruits, pain et vin. Finally, S'il pleut à la St Urbain, c'est quarante jours de pluie en chemin! Hopefully not.
Good morning @Busy-Lizzie and @Pat E. Very misty here too but the forecast is better than yesterday and better again tomorrow, fingers and everything else crossed.
What a real boost for your son @Pat E, his great grandfather would be very proud.
I was filmed/interviewed yesterday for a Tourist Information campaign, so difficult to get all your words out without pauses, stumbles and slips, and to keep smiling and nodding at appropriate moments. 30 seconds of air time took about 30 minutes to film.
Anyway, all clean and tidy, just the fresh food delivery to deal with today and a final sweep and mop. All weather dependent now.
@punkdoc, thoughts are with you and your family, as peaceful end is the best any of us can hope for, it doesn't help with the feeling of sorrow and loss though. Treat yourself gently.
The whole of the road that serves CdeG is currently undergoing a total resurface, no parking on it until the end of the month, dirt, dust, noise and heavy machinery a constant - don't get me started on the subject of hard-landscaping just at the moment, of course they couldn't do this whilst we have been closed for 7 months!!! At least it's not August. That's about the best I can say at the moment.
Good day to you all, very much feels like the calm before the storm here, just the ising on the cakes to do now.....

That's good news @Pat E. My eldest gets a credit on TV programmes that she works on. It's always a proud millisecond watching her name flash by. Thanks goodness for the ability to freeze frame!
It sounds like you did the right thing by your Mum, @punkdoc. Sincere condolences and concentrate on the good memories with no regrets.
DD, isn’t it amazing. Our council could give yours a few tips. They do the most stupid things!
Biglad, that’s good to hear about your daughter. I’m not sure if anything will develop from his experience with the paper, but it all adds to his experience.
Teas ready, so time to go and partake in a Frittatta. Yum,

@Pat E That must be thrilling to have your work on the front page of the paper. Congratulations!
@chicky Married to a builder, I was "builder's mate" for many years and it does pay off to be able to calculate a site and I found, quite satisfying.
Have a good day everyone.

PS Sorry about your weather folks. Watery sun and sunny here, no wind today although yesterday very very extremely windy (again).
