    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
Thankfully we got back to sleep after the wind woke us. The heating’s gone back on and it looks horrid out there ... the big oak trees are waving their branches about a lot.
Think @WonkyWomble has booked herself a day at home as she had her jab yesterday ... glad she won’t be working in this wind.

    Hi all

    Utterly discombobulated still.
How can you lie there and think of England

    I know it's a cliché but, " one day at a time ".
Hugs to you both and to your family.

    Morning all.

Early days yet @punkdoc, give it time. I felt rudderless for ages.

Forecast is rain here. I shall attack the huge ironing pile and maybe start painting my bedroom.

    Beautiful @Pat E 😍

How was the roast chicken @Hostafan1 🍗?

Just been out for a garden inspection 🧐....so far the only casualty is an allium head.  However, we still have another day of gales to endure, so hope I haven’t spoken too soon 🤞🏻.  They have closed the arboretum where I volunteer, as winds are too high.

Spent yesterday helping to plant 300+ dahlia plants, all grown from seed.  They are doing a trial with them - will be interesting to see how all the different varieties perform.  Had some success growing Mignon from seed this year (free packet in GW mag)....and that’s one of the varieties in the trial.  So next year I might give some others a go.  I’ll be keeping my eye on Yankee Doodle Dandy 🎶🎶

Does your oven have a an auto-cook function? Mine has a simple 'cook-a-chicken' mode where you put the chicken in a closed pot and program the weight - and hey presto, Bob's your uncle - a perfect chicken every time. A 1.9kg takes just over an hour.
