@edhelka, glad you posted a picture of allium Eros, mine are all budded up ready to pop, new this year, yours look so lovely. I was surprised that the foliage has stayed so lush as most alliums foliage dies back before flowering. I’m waiting for my Globemaster alliums to open, they last for several weeks too.
Life's tragedy is that we get old too soon and wise too late.
Abutilon (given in the link). It's supposed to be very tender, but did just fine unprotected in my London garden this last winter, joyfully. It's of a wonderful, "proper red" Now that it seems it will survive (my neighbour has one too) I will plant it out from its pot, if I can find somewhere to put it. It is supposed be able to reach three metres, given good conditions, becoming something of a small tree (!?). From what I can find out, it seems to like similar conditions to most roses - full sun, rich soil. I don't know how it would deal with clay. One slightly tricky thing is that the beautiful flowers are often hidden by the big leaves. It would be interesting to see how it does as a cut flower. My plant is still pretty small.
I add liquid feed to the watering can and pour at roots, my water is so hard it leaves unsightly white marks if I foliar spray. I do pots and in-ground roses as I didn’t use a granular feed for the latter this year, just alflafa tea to start them off. I pre-water the soil first as I am doing the rest of the bed with the lance, otherwise I find it evaporates fast and doesn’t get down to the roots.
My spring border (East Garden) is a favourite of mine too, @edhelka, similar feel and colour palette to yours and where I like to sit at this time of year. Eros looks a good allium, thanks for the recommendation - I will look out for it next year, I need some more small-medium spring bulbs for around my fig tree.
Early morning Blooms..

Love the blooms of Burgundy Ice, it’s regrowing into it’s spindly habit after it’s hard prune though (damn!). I’m debating whether or where to plant it out.
Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.
Can anyone help me ID this rose please? It’s glowing orange colour, has light sweet scent and produces hips in autumn. It doesn’t look like it’s being looked after very well and yet it keeps on blossoming abundantly every year. I tried Googling it myself. The flowers look a lot like Tango Showground. But the Tango one is ground cover rose and this one is a large shrub… Many thanks!
@newbie77 thank you for your response. It does look like warm welcome. By the looks of it this rose has just been planted and forgotten about (no training or pruning). I wonder if warm welcome can be grown as a shrub…

I like your Wildberry @Tack and @D0rdogne_Damsel’s Blue for You, my kind of colours.
