It was high noon on one of those hot days, and my sense of smell isn’t so great so maybe that’s why I missed it. So happy I can put names to (rose) faces
Thanks @Marlorena, at least the cold has gone. Got my second Moderna jab too today.
@newbie77 and @Tack, nice to see the wider views of your rose-packed gardens. I’ve been eying up Pat Austin for a while, newbie.
That’s Achillea Walther Funke, Tack. I tried Terracotta last year, but it was a bit paler and goes cream, whereas WF is a stronger colour that ages gently to orange/yellow.
Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.
My rose of the day is 'Crépuscule' First smallish bloom on PAOK 'Charles Darwin' 'Scented Garden' - an almost tropical picture and a more normal crop 'Bordure Camaieu' with lavender and osteospermum. And something to highlight even though it doesn't flower yet - 'Amazing Day'. I have the feeling this is going to be a really good rose. Bred by Ronnie Rawlins, just mentioned today by Marlorena in her thread.
Gorgeous gardens and roses! Thought you might like to see mine now its really in bloom, hubby took some nice pictures for me. Heres the horrendous 'before' from Jan this year, destroyed muddy lawn and bodged fences... ....and here it is now!! Dosent look like the same garden!

I cant wait for this to flower fully! I’m so excited as I normally just have boring shrubs in my garden.
