@Tack, do I remember Agel-Rosen! Mix-ups do happen of course, but frustrating that you now can’t get the rose you wanted even if they would exchange it, since they can’t send to the UK anymore. Looks modern, a bit HT-ish.. It sounds like you need a dog flap in the fence 😆 animals are such a comfort, especially when things are tough.
Reds and Pinks this morning..
Thrilled to see the first bloom on Rosa Moyesii Geranium, in it’s second season:

Hmm, I think Pure Poetry has too many petals for it’s own good, can’t blame the rain here as it’s sheltered under the eaves:

Mme. Isaac Pereire, old and new blooms:
Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.
@Nollie, god, your roses are gorgeous. Your pictures too. Moyesii Geranium is new to me. In some pictures it can look quite pink, and in others deeper red.
@Nollie That RMG is exquisite, you do have lovely roses.
I see what you mean @JessicaS and Agel Rosen do stock LI but the buds are too different and I remember mine has a good fragrance. I am grateful for all help in identifying the rose though so thank you.
Your garden looks poised to be great this year @Mr. Vine Eye.
I am going to have a go with the notching on Wildberry @Marlorena, it has 3 very splayed bare stems and nothing up the middle.
@Tack ..just to say, this is not something you would do with bush and shrub roses, it's meant for climbing roses that have gone bare at the base..
..with Wildberry etc. you would just prune back a stem hard, to encourage new shoots lower down, just normal pruning regime.. they also tend to send up basals at some point..
.. we can also do this with the climbing roses by cutting down a cane from the main framework but if we don't want to do that, as it might spoil the look or we don't have enough to work with, then notching a cane is an alternative..
Thank you @Marlorena, good to know now before wielding sharp instruments , I'll do a dance to the Basal Gods then. The discussion upthread is to do with notching Eglantyne which I guess now isn't a candidate either.

Definately in the frame considering your location
