@Marlorena Yes, very pleased. It has grown a lot since last autumn and I expect more growth once it finishes the 1st flush. At the moment, it is a sprawling thing but vigorous. The blooms are cute, sometimes on the small side but mostly medium and there are many. Reliably very fragrant, no matter the weather, and the fragrance is really good. The colour is warm pink with even warmer undertones, sometimes it looks salmon or almost apricot. I haven't done any deadheading yet. The spent blooms dry out, most of the petals won't fall off, but it looks OK, nothing that would put me off. It will look stunning when mature.
@Mr. Vine Eye Your photos do underline to me why I love climbers most - the shapes and height you can get - where they take the eye. As a structure, I find climbers very much more interesting. They look magical, somehow, climbing the walls and twining.
Sorry about your rose @CantPruneWontPrune. I think I would do the same as suggested previously if it is recoverable.
Ness by Trevor White in year 2. It looks like it is going to grow up to be a decent size. Slightly scented in a recognisably rosy way. Green showing lusher here than in real life but flower colour is right.
Thanks @Allyblueeyes & @Victoria Sponge - I'm going to head to the garden centre today and see what I can find. In future I think I'll have to keep it cut a lot shorter as the wall doesn't seem to be the strongest and I'd worry about it being pulled over.
Lovely purples @edhelka, I’m jealous of the deeper colours you get! I’m rather taken with Paul T/N too.
Ugh, we have had some scattered rain but all it has done is deposit dust on everything..
Deep Secret cluster, it looks a darker red in the border, especially from afar, so I’m getting my hopes up (in vain, probably) that this one might actually work and not go a horrid clashing pink:

@Mr. Vine Eye your Rhapsody in Blue is fabulous, such a rich colour and so many blooms. I’ve been tempted to get it from your photos, but I’m not really sure how much it would bloom in or tolerate my high temperatures - it has been said it ‘sulks in heat’. How is it on your hottest days? I know the colour won’t be as intense, probably more lavender, but that might still be attractive..
Welcome @Auntie V, so glad you are enjoying the thread. Don’t worry, there will be plenty more to come 😊

My poor roses after being battered by heavy rain for two days, not good photo but still drizzling out there.🙄 Looks like lots of dead heading, and possibly support for my BfY.🥺 Can't even bare to show you my Arthur Bell , half is on the floor 🥺
