..nice arrangements newbie..  your daughter did you proud..

...all lovely roses above, beautifully photographed,   but I think Mr Vine Eye should send his photo of Malvern Hills off to DA next time they have a competition, so they include it in their catalogues..

My Creme de la Creme is just about to bloom. I've never seen it mentioned on the forum. I keep wondering if this is a bad sign. Does anyone have any rumour of it or know its repuation?

I can see that the euonymous is going to have to come out to make room or it. Oh dear.

@Nollie - it’s been fine on hot days, I think, but it does start getting shade from the house after lunchtime. Last year I believe it took quite a long break after the first flush before flowering again.

@Marlorena - that’s kind, what you said about my photo, it’s the purple sprouting broccoli seedlings in the window that really finish it off 😄

Ohh I was excited to find what looked like ladybird eggs on the underside of a leaf on my apple tree. I haven’t seen many ladybirds at all in the garden this year - after struggling to find a plant without them on last year. I think I’ve only spotted one to photograph this summer, I hope they’re making a return!

I was at my allotment plot this afternoon and saw a flower opening on Arthur Bell - a sad blackspotted thing he is though. More exciting was seeing a damsel fly on a blade of grass that was dipping into the pond - that’s the sort of place they lay their eggs! Also seen some larger backswimmers in addition to the lesser waterboatmen that have been resident for a while. Plants all rooting out of their baskets and into the pond.

I’ll try and take photos or do a video tomorrow.

JessicaS I just love your garden. I was wondering is there any way you could name the plants in the photos. I’d love some of the ones you have but don’t have a clue what they are! I especially like the pink plant in the bird bath photo
