@Marlorena @Omori thank you for your recommendations:) both suggested roses look lovely. How do you ever decide, which one to get? I want them all! 🙈

I think we overdid the rain dance :)

My Super Excelsa tree roses got untied from the stake, luckily I managed to secure it before something worse. Tulips are mostly on the ground.

@Oliya It depends what look you’re after? In terms of shape, colour, etc. Also aspect is another factor. Well Being does best with plenty of sun, Jude the Obscure can take some shade. Well Being is golden yellow with pink edges, Jude the Obscure is buff/pale apricot. Well Being is strongly citrus, whereas Jude is a fruity blend. I would say Well Being is more vibrant and Jude is more subtle. I have both roses and love both so really just depends on your personal taste :)

Oh I forgot one… may be hard to find in the U.K., I bought mine from TCL, but an amazing rose for fragrance is Sharifa Asma. It’s said to be like white grapes and mulberry. I’m rubbish at picking out notes like that but the fragrance is like sticking your nose into heaven. It’s a small DA rose, pale warm pink. A good candidate for a pot.

Yes, howling gale here, prior to torrential rain. Just been out moving pots etc. My geranium narcissi are all horizontal. Where, oh where were the `drip, drip, drop, little April showers`?

@edhelka - yes it’s very heavy here. I’d almost forgotten what rain looked like.

Back to hail again on Wednesday apparently!

No rain here yet, the Met office keeps pushing back the start time. I do hope we get a decent amount, 3 of our 4 waterbutts are empty and in the meantime the strong wind is drying everything out even more.

London would love some torrential rain (flooding aside). It's forecast here for tonight. Fingers crossed. Frost is still on the cards for this week.

I love the look of Sharifa Asma but I can’t find it being sold online anywhere in the UK :/

I’m very flexible on the look of the rose but I want to have one that we be like WOW scented...

...not much rain here so far, in the semi-desert of East Anglia.. maybe still to come..

Some unfortunate news.. I took a chance, it didn't pay off..
I decided to order a rose from Germany, Nollie's nemesis Agel-Rosen..  they still shipped to the UK according to website... I paid the carriage, so assumed all would be in order..
My rose was despatched next day but got as far as Holland and was ''returned to sender''... so, obviously the documentation was not in order..

I've asked for a refund, but as Nollie will tell you,.. I doubt it will be forthcoming.. could be it was sent at my own risk..

So... I'm now short of a rose in my collection... back to Trevor White's...  actually, already done it, and I have a potted rose on the way...
