Ooh @Nollie, I'm so envious, absolutely gorgeous blooms.

I walked round the garden earlier, Winchester Cathedral, Alissar, Princess of Phoenicia, and Penvelope look to be the first that will open - if only we had some sunshine!

  • @Nollie I am extremely envious of your blooms! ( especially Julia Child , mine has 2 buds and they aren't even fat enough to see the colour yet!... there were more but some snapped off in the weather.... on the plus side my French lavender ( i think its dwarf , definitely stoechas but as its in a stone pot I'm not too sure if its a dwarf type or being constrained by the pot!) seems to have survived unscathed so at least I have some purple colour even if my purple and yellow combination is yet to arrive!
Kindness is always the right choice.

Ah, your time will come and I will be the one envious as my roses fry in the heat or go into hibernation in protest!

Hello @Tack, was just thinking of you, wondering if you were OK..

Those deer sound a total nightmare! Your ‘Not Heidi Klum’ is a good lavender colour, but I can see the need for the Not, foliage is totally wrong for a start. Be a good challenge to try and ID it when it gets into it’s stride.

Well that rose looks good @Ditsy.  I hope your Blue for You does as well as mine, it seems to be almost bomb proof, takes the rain and wind, cold and hot.
The only thing that makes it sulk is cutting it hard back, which it needs every few years, as its a monster grower, nearly four feet each year! It repeat flowers well and doesn't suffer from bare limbs at the base.
When you plant it in the ground, just make sure you give it plenty of room all round.😁

Thanks @purplerallim. I bought it as a container rose, I didn't realise it was going to get so big!
