Thanks @Nollie. What a coincidence, I was only thinking about your noisette this morning, wondering how it was getting on.
Some sneaky MW's I didn't notice when I carried out the morning patrol. I did intend to obscure MW's strange manner of growth with other plants but didn't think about the low flowers. These can only be seen from my front window and by seagulls, but that will do me.
Can anyone ID this beauty please. It's growing in my local park. I don't know whether it is fully grown, but it was about 2ftx2ft in size; and can clearly put up with being neglected as you can see.
It's slowly starting to come together now, far left corner is mayflower, top centre is Gerty, top right is eglantyne, hidden in the front swathe of nepita is silas marner, butbnot yet blooming. I have a poor sense of smell but I can smell them all, its lovely wandering up the garden past them
We've not had anything like a storm, but enough rain to fill the waterbutts back up, which is great.
Looks brilliant @JessicaS I like your stepping stones.
Coincidentally, I just had a Facebook memory come up from a few years ago, showing the garden just before work started on our extension.
Shifting those raised beds in rubble sacks to the tip was a nightmare.
I'm enjoying the views out of the downstairs windows on a morning.
Kitchen window - left to right - Malvern Hills, Scarborough Fair, Royal Jubilee, The Ancient Mariner, Mortimer Sackler, The Generous Gardener
Dining room window - Lady of Shalott on the left other side of dining room window - near to far - Ghislaine, Rhapsody in Blue, Eustacia Vye, Bathsheba, Kew Gardens
What alot of lovely buds on Margarita @newbie77 . RinB seems to be doing well for everyone this year so it is nice to see and compare.
Paths between scented roses are so lovely aren't they @Rickyjones24 ? Something I didn't realise really until I got over my aversion to having roses in my own garden.
I saw through the wet window this morning that 3 new roses of mine decided to open today. Just ventured out.
Snow Ballet and Carminia (the one @Marlorena contacted Martin Vissers to enquire about and as a result is catalogued on HMF). Sweet little roses both, I very much took a punt on these from TCL so good result I think. I will resite them so that Claire Marshall doesn't kill Carminia's much more subtle colouring. Now to The Prince. It's been leggy, brittle, sparsely foliated, mildewed but today it opened, my, my the colour (much darker than the photos) and the scentBut I really hope the shortcomings of the plant improveI may bore you to tears with Dames de C. Going from The Prince to this with my nose is an extraordinary experience; from heavy, musky aftershave spicy with liquorice to intensely sweet fruity.

Crown Princess Margarita all tied in
Rapsody in blue is doing well even though it is so close to a giant conifer
