    Just beautiful @Rojas, that is a lovely selection. I like Fair Bianca. Of those I have Rose de Rescht and Grafin Diana, both in pots. I suspect my RdeR won't like that for very long. You've captured the colour of Diana better than I can, I really love the blackish buds and the blackening on the outer petals.
    My TP was located eventually in Italy @Nollie, @newbie77 kindly found it for me as yes, I was struggling anywhere in Western Europe. And to make the postage worth it, the way you do, I am so pleased I got Utopia and Jingle Bells too. Mine threw canes up to the sky for its first flush too, I lost several because they were so brittle. Now they are a sensible height and are staked to overkill.

    @Rojas
    ..your roses have done so well for you.. I especially your Alchemist and Kathryn Morley which we don't see much of now..  and thanks for your comments too..  nice to see Souvenir de la Malmaison again, it kept balling for me unfortunately, but some years were better than others..

     Ah yes the Cosmos, that's what happens when you bung your last 3 self sown plants into gaps in the newly manured and improved rose climber bed. 5ft of lush growth, 1 flower. I should remove them but it is amusing me now and the 'shrub' is attractive.
    @Tack if your cosmos trees are anything like mine, you might get a great display in Oct and Nov - worth waiting for - and great to have colour late in the year.

    Hi @purplerallim, thanks for your concern, appreciated, fortunately the floods are south of Barcelona. I’m tucked up near the Pyrenees to the north-west of Girona. Lots of rumbling thunder though, the boy dog is terrified and hiding upstairs!

    Gorgeous roses @Rojas, a very diverse and interesting collection including some lovely old roses and some princely Austin reds of your own 😊

    Ah, I did find one potted specimen of The Prince in Italy @Tack, but imagine it would be pot bound by now, plus a minimum spend necessitating ordering 3, plus postage. They didn’t really have anything else left in stock that I wanted, though so I will try a cutting instead.

    @Tack Have you got 'The Prince' from Rose.it? If you are after Fair Bianca rose I have managed to find it from www.pepiniere-rosesloubert.com and they are able to ship to UK post BREXIT. I love the colour and perfume of Grafin Diana.

    @Marlorena Thank you. I live in Oxford and I have balling issues on lots of roses Nahema, Novalis,
    souvenir de la malmaison, Pretty Jessica, La Rose de Molinard, Grafin Diana, Secret Parfuma, Cinderella, Abe Darby etc. But when they open they are just fabulous. I have found that most of my Kordes roses suffer in rain.

    @Nollie Thank you. Have you got 'The Prince' from Italy? Probably I will head towards Rose.it If I can't find my 'The Prince' charming and 'St.Cecilia' elsewhere. There is a Rose Garden in Amsterdam, Netherlands and they have a good collection of old DA roses. I only wish that I know about these garden centres earlier as we were living in Amsterdam for couple of years!
  • That's good @Nollie , below Barcelona is hardly north east Catalonia 🙄🤦‍♀️

    I got mine from Tuincentrumlottum in the Netherlands @Rojas but they don’t stock it anymore. The potted one I mentioned above was from rose.it, the last one if you want to grab it, but if will have been in that 2.5L pot all summer, so may not be in great shape!

    The press often get it wrong @purplerallim, no worries. NE Spain would work!

    My The Prince was from rose.it I wasn't too impressed with the plants when I got them in those tiny pots in November last year but they've turned out okay. I am trying not to add to those already on order @Rojas but thank you for that interesting link. I know what you mean about regrets. I realised too late to make use of the knowledge that I'd been driving past the front door of Lens roses 4 times a year for 8years.
