Thanks for the comments about DarceyBussell Debs. It's a rose I saw in a pot at Davis Austin's garden and really liked the colour & form - but I did think it was a weak scent. That specimen was full of blooms & very healthy but I guess the DA team have a whole lot more time to spend tending roses than I do - and are probably more inclined to use chemicals to control problems.

Been a wet and windy day here so it's been a good opportunity to catch up with paperwork. MIL wants me to do her tax return so that's 4 to do now 😩 - best make a start soon!

Been in the loft and located where water is dripping onto the light fitting. Covered the fitting and towels down to soak up any further dripping. Needs somebody with more of a clue to locate where water is coming through the roof as it is all a bit complicated up there with the extension roof being added on top of the original roof.

A big lad clambering around the loft was interesting enough @Songbird-1 :D

Glad your OH is feeling better.

Ooh I was about to ask how your OH was feeling @Songbird-1 So glad he's feeling better.
@Biglad hope you manage to get someone out to fix the problem soon.
Raining here again and quite windy. But not as bad as last night. The next few days are supposed to be much the same.
    Night night everyone,  sleep well

Good morning all blue skies here so fiancé is hankering to go out on his new bike. I have gardening stuff to do so I don’t mind. Feels strange to have Wednesday off I will be very confused all week.
Bought 60 basket plants yesterday I have  lots of baskets to fill for myself and others. I need to look after them for a week or two so that will be fun , hoping the poly tunnel at the allotment can be utilised as at home all available surfaces are covered with seedlings.
I am praying for warmer weather. No more frosts please!

I need to copy Woodstock and do a SM run first thing. By the time I get back I hope that it is a bit warmer. I have to say that the garden is looking very refreshed this morning. All rather lovely really.

    Morning all,

Frosty shed roof this morning and it looks like it could be a sunny and dry day ahead :)

Already bought a BBQ this morning and also planning a B&Q visit to finally get the water butt I've been hankering after. I'm hoping that putting guttering on the shed will:-

    a) not prove beyond my very limited DIY abilities :o
    b) decrease the temporary 'pond' problem every time it rains
    c) harvest enough rainwater to keep the blueberries happy

@Ladybird4 love the idea of you at the supermarket like Woodstock. Always my favourite Peanuts character.
Going to try to get front garden tidied up today, more stones to put down and plant pots to artistically arrange.
BL good luck with the water butt I am planning one myself if fiancé can sort plumbing out.
