Evening. Oo over one hundred posts since I last looked-in. I hope all are ok.
I realised today that this time last year I was shattered by COVID-central in work so I missed out on pottering about in the garden in the evenings. As much as we need some rain, I am grateful for some time after work to get outside this year.
Take care folks, particularly those with worries, sad times or health stuff going on.
Thanks DD & Busy-Lizzie, I feel better tonight, some friends dropped by after their jabs for tea in the garden and we nattered for ages. Took my mind off aches and pains. OH's physio has now recommended he gets X-rays done on his hips to rule out any connection with his gammy knee so we're waiting for the GP to call back some time. Didn't do anything in the garden today but pleased to see my indoor wild flower seeds are germinating already.

I know what you mean. I had a stressful day today (not by the standard of your past year, just relative to what I'm used to). The peace of the garden when I went to get some greens for dinner was exactly what I needed. It took me a bit longer than strictly needed for the task

We had high winds and rain over night. Even I could hear it from bed. I checked the rain gauge this morning and there was only 4.4mm.😡 Thats the first rain this month. The rain gods could have sent more.
I haven’t checked back yet, as we were occupied out the back cutting up firewood. We were both exhausted afterwards. I’ve discovered that lifting cut up pieces of wood and carrying them to the trailer aggravated my neck muscles which have been a bit tender since my fall. I’ve managed to get my favourite chiropractor to have a go at it this afternoon. If nothing else, his girls will give me a massage. 👏👏
The news from Minneapolis came through on the bedside radio as I got into bed ... such a huge relief ... and so much more to be done.
I’ve just been watching a Muntjac wander across our front lawn, across the road and towards the old oak woodland around the chalk mines. Now I’m listening to the wren singing in the clematis below this window. 😊
@Pat E take it steady ... you must’ve given yourself one heck of a knock 🤗

Thank you for your lovely kind thoughts ❣️.was a bit stunned by neighbours reply, agree,we didn't make formal arrangement for paying for papers, but he was paying for them last summer, shopping, would have thought putting receipt thru door meant payments request., I watched some of the trial from America, Scottish Dr giving expert opinion, regarding position of chest handcuffs neck, said suffocation was inevitable.Hubby read Mr Floyd was "known" and disliked by that particular Officer.RIP Mr Floyd
