Patience is a virtue, you know, trust me I am heartily sick of sharing every surface of my place with plants, window sills, the quite large dining table, have managed to move a few into a green house. Even where I live, nothing tender is going into its final place till last day of may never has

I accidentally left out a tray of snapdragon seedlings last night, they have been in the porch. We had frost. They are fine? Maybe tomorrow they will be dead.Β

@herbaceous maybe "heatwave" was going too far πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ being able to walk round the garden in the morning without my coat on would make me happy right now πŸ₯Ά

I had two thick jumpers and a fleece gilet on when I went outside this morning, at least it was a bit warmer in the greenhouse.

Thing is my back garden is surrounded by gentlemen of a 'certain' age so - whilst I can always add more layers there comes a point where I might be causing someone difficultyΒ  :DΒ

Low overnight temperatures in the forecast until the middle of the week. I went out to a garden centre on Friday to meet a friend for an outdoor lunch, and the place was stuffed with tender bedding and veg plants. We wondered how many unsuspecting customers will end up disappointed.

@herbaceous. You should be ok until you get to the seventh fleecy veil.

I'm having stern words with myself.Β  Longing to be able to move some of the seedlings in the zip-up outside so more can go in and off my windowsills and impatient for warmer nights, I remember how, once June comes all of this is forgotten and summer bursts upon us and ends, unlike winter, all too quickly.
