  • happy 16th Birthday to Your granddaughter Hazel🐣. Ā LB as you said yesterday, as I walked out this morning I could feel the drop in temperature, soon to be chillier over Easter, wrap up warm. Ā It’ll be good to see your Bestie soon. Ā Hazel shame you had to cancel your appmt, but it sounds like you had a good day. Ā Chive I bought Alfie 10kgs of food and he can’t keep it down. Ā He seems to have a very sensitive stomach so I’ll have to get something specific, drat I was hoping to save some pennies, but I want him to enjoy his food. Ā  Ā

Morning all - white rabbits, pinch punch and all that.

Up early this morning as OH has gone to karting practise. Very proud of myself as I enticed him over to show him the weather forecast with a weather warning for severe thunderstorms for much of the morning. His face fell a mile. APRIL FOOL!! - before 7.30am!! I was barely awake!

It's actually going to be wall to wall sunshine - but 10C lower than yesterday. Getting the garden chairs out yesterday was the kiss of death for the weather.🤨 Might have to go and buy some fleece. All  the new plantings are hardy shrubs and perennials - but it might not be the best start for them to be frosted straight after planting - they all have lots of new growth.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

Good Morning RosieBB, Sorry to hear Alfie’s food is not agreeing with him, shame for you too having to try something else now.
Morning Topbird you really fooled him poor OH šŸ˜‚
LB Have your days felt muddied with the change to your bin collection this week?

It sure does Chive and I want to defrost my freezer fairly soon. Morning RosieBB and T'Bird. Rosie, a lot of my cat food that Miss Picky rejects goes across the road to Jack's Kitty. She is not a fusspot. Maybe Ruby's cats might like it? T'Bird, you rascal, its a good job your OH is going out as there is still plenty of time for him to get his own back.
Chive - at the moment ALL my days feel muddled . Not just days but weeks and months as well. Luckily I have calenders everywhere (it was one of those Christmases!) so I do have useful prompts around. That reminds me, I better flip the pages over.

Morning all. Up early for me as I had a GP appt over the phone. We had quite a chat and she is sending me for blood tests. If they come back negative she is sending me to a long COVID clinic. She believes I had it at the start of last year. Apparently I’m not the only one on her books who had all the symptoms prior to it all kicking off in the media.Ā

Pauline I really hope you find out more soon. Wondering what happened must be terrible. Hugs

Pauline - hope you get some info soon that helps you come to terms with what’s happened, again if I can help please reach out. Thinking of you.

chive - I like to get up early and watch the garden to. I usually get to see the dunnocks having a good root round in the log pile and wildlife area in the garden. They’re like little fat wrens, a firm favourite here.Ā

Ladybird - I still have a veggie Christmas roast in the chest freezer hahah usually save it for a rainy Sunday afternoonĀ

already been up for a few hours here, mentally preparing for a long weekend, rebuilding our decking and moving the stairs. We are gutting the garden in the house we bought as it was basically overgrown grass, conifers and trees, with 3 horrible work sheds, it’s 70ft long, and it’s beginning to take shape. Once we are done it’ll be a productive light relaxing wildlife garden, but the landscaping work is getting tiresome now. I’m constantly sore!

hope you all have a lovely day x

    Afternoon everyone,
Rubee Did you sleep well? It’s not very warm outdoors, but I did manage to cut the grass,
LB Defrosting the freezer is going to present a challenge, might have to pop the bird into next doors freezer while you do itĀ
Yvie, There has been talk on the radio about long Covid, hope you can find out soon,
Wildlifer That’s a lovely size garden and it sounds like it’s already popular with the wildlife. Good luck with your plans for the weekend, hope everything works out as you’d like,Ā
Hazel Glad you had a nice long chat with your daughter and got to see your granddaughter on her birthday. Yes I too found the SM was extra busy yesterday, like you said everyone buying in for the weekend,Ā
@Ante30 A long weekend to look forward to now 🄳, hope your week has gone well,
    Have a nice evening everyone.Ā
