Got my jab appointment 🥳🥳🥳🥳. Next Wednesday. Feeling very happy 😀😀😀
once the euphoria wears off I’m heading out to barrow more gravel (hope it has the same kilo shedding effect here @D0rdogne_Damsel 🤞🏻) and some more weeding and clearing. With a bit of luck, after today I will be half way through the Great Clear Up 🌱🌱🌱
Morning all. I loved the look and smell of chocolate cosmos but I’ve never managed to overwinter it. Hoping to get out in the garden today. Lots of pots to move ready for the new raised bed.
A gardening friend (and my former boss) grew Chocolate cosmos ... she potted them up and overwintered them in her frost-free greenhouse and in the summer they were planted out in her big sunny bed which had the most wonderful rich peaty soil (on the edge of a Norfolk Broad). They looked glorious ... I've never seen any look so good, not even in proper 'open to the public' type gardens ... and hers had a rich chocolatey scent too, but only on warm sunny days.
She had the greenest fingers I've ever come across ... and a very dutiful 'Under Gardener'.

Morning! Had a tidy in the kitchen so far today and now thinking I should get out in the garden for a bit before the weather turns. Just had a mini power cut so cue the kids stressing because they've lost the internet and the toaster has stopped working plus a phone call from my mum (lives 3 doors away) to see if ours has gone too. Hope that's it for the day or I won't be getting any washing done! At least I can garden without electric, the kids however can't cope with it 😂
Cold, Grey and damp here after overnight rain, too chilly for me to do much outside today, even OH is complaining that it is too cold. The cat bite I had about five weeks ago still hasn't healed even with antibiotics so have made a Dr's appointment for Monday, trouble is most of the DR's there at the moment are Interns and don't seem to have much of a clue.
Morning all _ just. Still only about 5c here but with sunny spells so have just dashed out to take some photos. I had one of my 'bright' ideas( cue much groaning from OH) lastnight. We have a bark mulch path behind a front garden long border, mainly for access to cut the hedge behind it and for weeding the border. Local cats have started to use it as a litter tray which is unpleasant so I'm thinking of having it paved. That will save me from having to keep replenishing the bark and make taking up the leaves of the big tree behind the hedge much easier. I am trying to make future maintenance easier as we get older.

My chocolate Cosmos some years ago were an abject failure! No scent either.
Frosty this morning, sunshine now. Off to plant more shrubs.
