I take it she told them they were in fact being insulting @punkdoc? If not, how will they à) learn and b) improve their offer?
It has turned cold again here thanks to the wind. Too unpleasant for gardening other than watering all the pots in the PT and in the potager.
I cooked fish and chips and mushy peas for OH tonight with home-made tartar sauce. OH and Possum loved it but not me. Won't be doing that again! Give me World Food takeaway any day.

I'm in need of some advice please. Earlier today I found a rather soggy packet of fertiliser granules for acid loving plants which I'd forgotten I had. It had got damp in my shed so I'm trying to dry out the granules in the kitchen tonight. Is this likely to work? If not, should I just dilute it all down and water the lot around the garden tomorrow -we're clay over limestone here. I have got a camellia and olive bush in pots, raspberries, asparagus and hydrangeas so I could do these first?
Yes, she is leaving. She needs a rest [ my opinion, not hers ], working from home has actually proved to be harder than she imagined. It is great not having to travel for 4 hours every day, but you don't get the little banter breaks and general office bonhomie. Sadly I think she might find it hard to get another job, when she starts to look again.

Working from home is a reality for many at the mo @punkdoc and many are missing the office banter but that's not a situation that will last forever. Future employment is going to be a problem for many so she would be well advised to hang on if she can but not to the point of being exploited.
You have to take into account her future mental health. Better being employed or stuck at home with you and being under gardener? Does she have transferrable skills? Can she start her own business/consultancy?

Oh @punkdoc how frustrating and irritating/bdooly annoying. 😡 hugs to you both.
I’ve been trying to enjoy various podcasts for quite a while but can’t get on with ear buds ... they really irritate my ears. This evening OH suggested I try his big headset ... a transformation ... wonderful ... I thought I’d find them uncomfortable but they were fine and the sound quality is really fab. Music is even better than on our old but rather good sound system. I listened to an Early Music concert and I could’ve been there. He’s ordered me a set of my own.😍 I’m a happy 🕊

Sadly she is not the only one in the same position [ 4 other people are in the same position as her ], it seems to be related to government savings, which would be fine, but the BREXIT trade arrangements are in chaos and these people were the ones sorting it.

At least she is happy about the rugby, have to admit I was supporting France: firstly to annoy her, secondly because I didn't want the Welsh to win the title. Sorry @AuntyRach
