Morning @raisingirl glad you have your jab booked 😀 I've never actually bet on anything in my life and can't even operate a fruit machine,  was just a joke,  I'm  so anti animal cruelty that I confront people even though I'm small!
Morning @Hostafan1, send me some sunshine please!!

Morning all, bit behind again.  Another grey start here too  @punkdoc, in fact I've just looked and it's trying to rain,  not supposed to happen here today.  Rain interrupted yesterday's slug hunt,  I know I was in the greenhouse,  but I have to move everything out so sort it.  I think the problem has come because I grow my Tomatoes in the one on the Allotment now.  I used to take out one side bench and grow them in big pots with a self watering system here, but they don't get as much light here as they should.  So it's been a long time since I really moved everything.
@D0rdogne_Damsel yes it depends upon how much space you have but I think 6 plants would be minimum.  If you can buy canes in small numbers it might be worth trying at least 2 varieties to see if you can stretch the season.  (Mind you I am trying this with strawberries  and annoyingly they still come at once) I  am growing Tulameen, Glen Ample, Polka and Joan J. as an Autumn one. 6 of each, but then I have the space.  According to the RHS,  you can grow them singly up a vertical post, if you are short of space.

I've taken the car for a service and MOT. Its first MOT as cars here don't have to have one until they are 4 yrs old. Gosh, has 4 years gone by already? Garage is only 5 mins away, friendly, they've lent me a Clio.

Popped into the local GC but sold out of raspberry plants.

Morning all,  Thanks for your kind comments re the veg patch @WonkyWomble It was a lot of hard work put I'm hoping it will be worth it.  I'm taking it a bit easier today as I need to conserve my energy for tomorrow (it's a Nanna Duty day) and looking after Gabriel is exhausting at the moment.  He even wears Jonah out.
I'm planning on tying in a couple of clems and maybe repotting some houseplants.  Might even sow a few seeds.  Mind you I'll need another cuppa before starting.  Whatever you are doing enjoy your day folks.

It’s wet wet wet here again today so OH is finishing waxing the floor and I’m baking a batch of Suffolk Rusks to go with some nice cheese that ‘needs eating’ 😋

Well no sooner the word than the deed.  Seven houseplants repotted, mind you it did involve lugging a bag of compost from the garden into the conservatory so not such a relaxing job as I thought.  Another cuppa I think before tackling the seed sowing.

    Here you are @Yviestevie ☕️

Rusks made ... @WonkyWomble don’t tell your father ... he might regard a trip to Norwich as an essential journey 😂

  • Hello all, bit of a hectic morning so apologies for not saying hello sooner.

Am now stuck in a Drive click & collect queue, despite an exact rendezvous time, but no point getting annoyed.

Thank you for the advice regards raspberries, I'll see what I can find, I bet the ones at Lidl have all gone now, saw some in the GC where I'm waiting, but they're almost 9€ each. I think the Lidl one was 1.50€. 😱

Got a rush of takeaway orders on for tomorrow and getting bookings now for Easter Afternoon Tea Picnics I'm advertising. I've been to the C&C to try and find some nice takeaway boxes/baskets, but failed miserably - they just seem to like plastic. 🙄 I'll need to hunt something down. I bet they'd have what I'm looking for in B&M Bargain's or suchlike. 😅

Your baking looks lovely @Dovefromabove, I'm trying out Hot Cross buns at the weekend (despite the diet), I've got some on order so I thought I ought to practice. It's forecast a cold snap so I'll need the comfort. 🙂

Hi folks,  sounds like everyone's been busy again. I definitely wouldn't appreciate a donkey braying at 6.30 am @Busy-Lizzie, hope the building works proceed satisfactorily.
Glad you finally got your veg bed sorted @Yviestevie, even my daughter's going to have a go this year now she's got a garden.
I've been weeding and digging over one of my front borders, but taking it slowly because my bsck's still a bit dodgy. Arranged a phone consultation with my GP for the 29th to talk about possible x-rays and/or scans.
Sun has just come out again so I'd better get going. Enjoy the afternoon folks. Tell Moira to stand firm Punkdoc, if they need her  they'll have to pay her. Outrageous to expect her to do it for less.
