Oh dear ... next door has another strip of 'cladding' blown off the front of the house ... the house is empty since the owner died and his daughters are waiting for builders to repair earlier storm damage before they can put it on the market.

That’s interesting Dove. Lucky he had that Dr.

We’ve got rain tonight, accompanied by lightning and thunder.  👋👋😏
We ate early in case we lost power. 😁

Have just watched the Michael Moseley Coronavirus program. I’ve asked Hubby to work out how to keep it so that we can compare it in a few months with what else is being said about the virus.

Now we are hooked on the Eric Clapton story.  Really good.

    Night all.

Morning all - and a very wet and gusty one it is. Minor damage in that the weather forecaster pole has snapped but fortunately has fallen against the trellis and is still transmitting! One of the gutter "hedgehogs" also been  blown out which will be a pig of a job to get back in

Shame about your grow house @AuntyRach, could you strap it to a wall or down pipe?
Good wishes for your son and brother @Dovefromabove and @WonkyWomble, like the nonparking set up!
Looks like we got back just in time from our daily walk,it"s now precipitating down and blowing a hoodie.

Hi folks, Blowing a gale here with the odd sharp shower.  I've been saving the house from an environmental health inspection this morning.  It looks much better now, I hate housework and it's even worse now we don't have visitors to spur me on.  I'd much rather spend time in the garden.
I decided to take action this morning on the non appearance of my raised bed.  I left a review on trust pilot giving the company 1 star and explaining the reason.  Within 10 minutes I had a response from the company (I had been waiting days for a response to my last two emails) apologising and telling me that the delivery would be on Saturday and asking if there was anything they could do to put things right.  I responded by telling them that they could always send someone to put it together and fill it with compost. Obviously it was tongue in cheek and I wasn't expecting a reply.  Two minutes they said that they were only a small company and unfortunately couldn't offer that particular service.  I just told them to make sure the delivery was on time.

    Hello all.

I hope it's all going well for your son @Dovefromabove, thank goodness it's been diagnosed at last.

The builders are here, putting up plasterboard and doors.

I've been on the phone quite a bit this morning, may have found a home for P's donkey.

Brilliant way to speed up a delivery @Yviestevie! I hope it arrives.

  • Congratulations @sam bevington. Well done. :)

Much excitement here, man up a tree, swinging on a rope with a chainsaw  :open_mouth: He is also going to leave me some of the wood chippings for mulch, cut to the perfect size he says. :)

Also ordered some hostas, euphorbia and salvia whilst eating lunch.
