Bournemouth's not far @Chicky and we'll be allowed out soon, I'm sure you'll see her again in the next month or so. Enjoy some gardening whilst the weather is dry.

Afternoon all,  Turned out to be quite sunny after a cold early start.  I've been gardening for most of the day.  Lawns mowed and edged, Crocosmia Lucifer dug up and replace with blue lupins and some violas planted.  I also tied in some clems and roses which I had been meaning to do for ages.  I ended the day by sowing a few trays of seeds.  I'm sitting down watching Poirot now.  Hope sowing some seeds cheers you up @chicky it's always a bit sad when they leave.   Cake sounds lovely @Busy-Lizzie

Back from daughter's in time for the 7pm curfew.

The cake went down well, thanks @Yviestevie. Sounds as though you had a productive day.

  • I feel for you @chicky. Sending hugs. Charlie will be going to boarding school soon enough. As much as I am happy with the education being the best for him I will miss him very much. He is very keen on the idea and I am trying to be supportive, but gosh what a void. In fact, I am not going to think about it any more until much nearer the time.

I am glad you enjoyed your weekend @Busy-Lizzie, nice for you to be entertained for a change, at least we got an extended curfew.

Blooming dozens of Hot Cross Buns ordered, I'll be an expert by the end of this week. New recipe seemed better. It is an all day job though. I just wish I could have UK flour, it is so much easier when things behave as you expect.

Evening all! Busy busy day in the garden for me. Now absolutely shattered but can't go to bed until after Line of Duty! Took up all the bark in my greenhouse and moved it to my new bed at the top of the garden then went to my Mum's a fee times to fill my wheelbarrow with stone she no longer wanted but I could use in the greenhouse. Broke up the last few fence panels and then started some more work on my daughter's 'corner' in preparation for the slabs. I'll sleep well tonight. Hope everyone is well 😃

Work in progress! It's getting there slowly but surely though and as they say, Rome wasn't built in a day

And I've tried teaching her how to use a hammer. Not sure she has the patience though 😂

Hi @Pat E "your " flooding has made the national news here.  They showed one poor young couple's house floating down the river. Hope it's ok where you are.

Sounds as if everyone’s had a productive day ... I’ve done a bit of seed sorting and tidying ... must organise some compost ... but now it’s time for bed ... night night everyone ... sleep tight 😴
