Hello all, showery with a cold wind still down here, so have been in the GH potting up my plug plants that arrived yesterday - earlier than expected.
Having a Zoom later with son and daughter as it's Mothers Day in the UK and they like to keep to that even though I am in France, it really doesn't matter to me which day it is it's just nice to chat with them anytime.
@Obelixx what are the latest travel restrictions to Belgium from France? I ask as our Belgian neighbours fly by the seat of their pants where residency is concerned!

Happy Mother's Day, Firstborn has told me to stay in today (no idea where she thought I might go) so I think a pressie might be on it's way.  Had flowers and chocs from Secondborn on Friday.

@sam bevington I've had a text from delivery company (DPD) re the raised bed to say it will be delivered this afternoon.  It had the option to track where it had been and apparently it started it's journey in Ireland.  No wonder it's been a problematic delivery.  Why don't these companies explain what's happening properly instead of just talking a load of b*lls**t
I'll keep your offer in  mind if I need anything else. I know Staffs quite well as I used to work for Staffs Wildlife Trust and used to travel around quite a bit.

Just waiting for Jonah and Gabriel to descend on us.  Secondborn is not doing too well at the moment, problems with ex, lockdown and exhaustion from work are all taking their toll.

    Have a good day everyone.

Morning all and Happy Mothering Sunday to all mums every where and a happy Sunday to the rest. It's always a bittersweet day isn't it to those of us who have lost our mums so sympathies also.

Lucky you @Busy-Lizzie,enjoy all the lunches you can whilst you can. Glad your lunch went well DD.

Did your polytunnels survive the gales @Hostafan1? Hope so.
We had a fbit of a fright last night , loud  noises like gun shots about 9pm but fortunately turned out to be some really loud fireworks - presumably someone's birthday. Made me jump a mile!

It's bright and breezy here so I ought to get out there whilst it's dry.  Happy gardening everybody.

@floralies If they're Belgian they don't need any residency as they have free movement in the EU.  However, they are supposed to have a clear Covid test 3 days before travelling and are supposed to quarantine when they get there but I've no idea how the border is being policed or, indeed, quarantining.   Possum and I will not be going till 3 weeks after I've had at least one jab.

Enjoy your lunches @Busy-Lizzie.   I quite understand your OH getting excited about the change of domestic routine provided by a visit to the SM but I'm not sure I share the excitement of a Morrison's.  Went to one in Kent once and wasn't impressed but that was about 10 years ago.

I hope your riased bed arrives @Yviestevie.

Hope all the post-op, wounded and poorly people are doing better today.

A productive morning in the front garden.  Got the grass cut,  and munched 2 of  the beds. I  need more!

@Allotment Boy, how many more of the beds do you want to eat? !!!

@Yviestevie, deep sympathies to you, the first anniversary is always hard to bear.
