They are both out of stock. I would like to see the plant I'm buying first so I don't want it online.
The nursery I saw today was smaller and more expensive than the one I went to last week. Worth a visit though. I didn't buy anything, no room until I make another bed. I must finish the shrub bed first and weed the vegetable garden.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
ThanksΒ for the links I will check them out.Β Β You may all be relieved to know I have finally planted the new raspberry canes.Β I'll have to find something else to Witter on about now π Oh yes the new Asparagus is due next month !!
Afternoon all.Β Sitting down with a cuppa after a very busy day.Β We put together the raised bed and filled it with veg compost.Β It took 5 hours and I am now officially K***kered.Β After all the problems with the delivery it was good to see that the product was good.Β The bed was very sturdy, relatively easy to put together and the compost was first rate.Β
Still have to fill a few pots but then the veg plot will be done, all ready for sowing. Now for a well earned rest.
Hi all from a very drizzly Kent!! Its stinkingly grey here today, no walk around the block possible sadly.
On a positive note we have had the quote for our bespoke shed/greenhouse combo and its all booked in for the weekend after Easter!! Yay! I can move my seedlings from the conservatory into my very own greenhouse! It does however mean that we need to tidy the garage up to be able to fit everything from the shed in there temporarily.... considering there is still a box of stuff from my flat that I moved out of in 2014 in there and some tomato wine (I know, don't ask and its awful!) from 2012 that is still at the back covered in cobwebs, I feel that it could be a whole Easter weekend task!
Second positive note is that my mum and I have decided that this weekend is GC trip time. We have a nice small nursery in the next village so will nip over there and see what they have got to offer. Lovely.Β
Thanks@Loraine3, sorry I got your name wrong. The berries are exquisite but die very quickly and turn a horrid dark red within hours. Presume the florist doesn't know tha t.It was an extremely posh bouquet!
Gosh, what a day! Went to visit a previous colleague and her young family today. I have no children; a contractor popped into the office and asked me 'is this your daughter?' Quite insulated at first but, at the time I was 48 and she 23 so perfectly acceptable.Β Anyway, took Tula2 puppy to see her kids- , 3 and 1. Poor Tula2 was car sick - her Weetabix breakfast all over the passenger seat and then she sat in it - all over her π Went for a walk. Hockey mate, very intelligent woman, previous head of IT for NHS lives opposite.Β She is now an acholic. Her house looked so neglected and uncared for, curtains closed all day. How can I help?
You were insulated Sam!!,Β I once cleaned house for a woman who was a few years older than me,I was late 20s, workmen came in called her my Mother she was furious, curled her lip, she was 6 feet, me 5,2ins, she looked down on m, (literally) and said it was obviously because I was so short!!!
Lol! But she was blonde like me and looked like she could have been a sweet child of mine! She has eyes of theΒ blueist skyes ......my Dad's favourite song xxxx
