Thanks for all your lovely comments guys ☺️☺️☺️.  I’ve just been corrected - we actually shifted 17 tonnes of shingle 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻.  Plus Mr C ended up in A&E when he dropped an oak sleeper on his foot (luckily badly bruised not broken). So it has been a labour of love 💕...but we are now feeling very satisfied.  In all honesty he did all the real work - I was just builders mate 😉

    Hi all

Love it @chicky, it should be on tele.

SO, Harry marries a black woman, gets vilified and driven out of the country, plus loses all his military roles / medals.
Andrew, probable paedophile, is allowed to slink off peacefully, no loss of military honours.
    Is that fair?
I am fairly pro royal, BUT this makes me wonder.

Why is that anything to do with being Royal? Andrew did whatever he did as a person and should have been treated as such. AFAIK the investigation into him and his friend is still ongoing. As for Harry - who drove him out? I must be watching and listening to different news items. I thought Harry wanted to leave, but still retain certain perks - a bit like Brexit.  How the police, press and media in general have treated both Harry and Andrew is not the 'Royals' is it? Harry decided he didn't want to continue as a 'Royal' - so he loses the perks of being one. If he earnt medals off his own bat, then I wouldn't expect them to be removed - but medals that go with the 'role' - he can't then keep can he?
As for hypocrisy of what is now being reported, I bet half the watching world wondered what colour the baby would be (even Oprah) and if it would have ginger hair... No? If my wife or I had bright blues eyes, and one of us was pasty and white and the other dark and swarthy, the same conjecture would occur wouldn't it? My family would have had a sweepstake with the different permutations.

Afternoon folks,  Came home this morning after dropping the boys at school but will have to go over again to pick them up.  Had the compost delivered for the raised bed but no sign of the actual bed, it's been delayed.
Ordered a new steamer chair and cushion for the garden.  Cushion has arrived, chair has been 'lost' and no more available so they have refunded me.  Can't wait to see Hubby stretched out on the lawn on his cushion.  It will take him a week to get up again.
My Dahlia tubers have arrived from Sarah Raven so will get them potted up when I get a minute.
Glad Harry has escaped from the Royal clutches.  He's too much like his mum to survive in that toxic environment.  Would have hated to see history repeating itself. He's paid the money back for the renovation of the house and the wedding was never for them it was for promoting the monarchy and to up the tourist trade.  They had their ceremony a few days earlier.

    Totally disagree @steveTu

Andrew has repeatedly refused to cooperate with lawyers involved in the case and has been withdrawn from Royal duties. He has however kept his military titles.

Harry on the other hand has lost his military honours and titles.

I think your view on the colour of the baby is naive, it is not being inquisitive, it is being racist.

Then that's down to the law. No matter what you or I think of Andrew, he should be treated like anyone else. At this point the man has not been 'proven' to have done anything wrong. IF the police and law are covering up a wrong doing, then  that is a completely different matter - and that should be addressed and those culpable punuished for that act. If I had a title based on my position and I was accused of something that hadn't been proven, I would hope I would get the same treatment. IF Andrew is ever proven to have done anything, then the full force of the law should be applied - and he should (IMO) have his titles removed. But that isn't the case so far.
As for the 'ist' comment - I think you have taken one side of a comment, without knowing context or what exactly was said and come to a conclusion. Taking any one view of an issue is a problem. There are always at least two sides of any story.

Andrew didn't ever suggest that his problems were caused by the rest of his family.

You could also say (and I wouldn't, necessarily, but playing Devil's Advocate here)
Harry finds he's too far down the succession (and getting further all the time) to be consulted or considered, his brother gets all the attention and preference, so Harry and Harry's wife flounce off and try to wreck things as much as they can for his father and brother, out of spite. The racist card is a nasty one to play because even if it weren't true, there's really no comeback they can make.

The part that irritates me, actually, is the whole 'we want to be left alone' schtick. If they actually did, they wouldn't be doing Oprah interviews. If they want to be able to live ordinary private lives then good luck to them, I hope they do. But really, they want publicity, its how they plan to make their living. As you say, he seems to be more Spencer than Windsor

Oops I have  (semi) repeated @Hostafan1's  accident.  I was repositioning the uprights of the  fruit cage. I  was using a club hammer and a block of wood when I just clipped the end of my index finger on my left hand.  I  do keep a small first aid kit at the Allotment so I resisted the urge to run it under the water butt tap and used a sterile wipe,  and a plaster.  The fingernail has lifted up at the end I suspect the end of my finger will be blue/ black by tomorrow.
