My first loan of any sort was a mortgage when I was 18 dad had to sign as a guarantor.
It’s beautiful here today done quite a bit of tidying up in the garden. If only the seagulls would shut up it would be really peaceful

Afternoon all, it's glorious out there today. I've even got the washing out on the line for the first time this year. Been pottering around in a T shirt, tying up the climbing roses and clematis. All jobs I can do without bending my head down. We were again woken up early for the third morning running, this time by a truck delivering a skip nearby - do you think someone is trying to tell us something!
Saw a beautiful small patch of wild white violets by the footpath this morning, just gorgeous.
OH has just been out on his 30 year old original Moulton bicycle, because there's no crossbar, he thought it would be easier with his gammy knee. Said it was easier cycling than walking, but went a bit further than he intended so has now crashed out on the sofa. I'm amazed the tyres are still viable.
Sounds like you had a very productive morning Busy-Lizzie.

I have been busy making a small concrete step in the "cave".  It has an uneven, damp, sloping beaten earth floor so I'm gradually working my way down the right side creating level bits on which I can stand our old wooden IKEA garage shelving units.  It's a slo business cos first we had to move the 12 cast iron chairs out to the garage and then some pine chairs with a round table I'm saving for when Possum gets a home of her own and then sweep and lay the cement.

Whilst it dries off I've been hoeing the gravel at the front by the house wall where the citrus plants will spend summer and it's so hot I've had to change into shorts and a sleeveless top.   Possum is taking the wooden slats off the back of the chairs - not a happy bunny but I need her to be useful and get out of her pit.  OH is playing with the new mower.

Sounds like you're living up to your name @Busy-Lizzie.   Well done.

Hope the dizzies clear up @Lizzie27.

Mortgage at 18 @Yviestevie!  Crumbs you started young.

  • Everyone is so busy, amazing what a bit of spring sunshine can do for our energy levels and motivation. It was so good to have light for so long last night too.

I think I've 'found' my hosta @Hostafan1, please say yes.....

It's not really growing horizontally. 🙄

Just waiting for Charlie to come out from school, however, can't go straight home, he needs new shoes.

Hi all,  routine check at eye clinic this am . I was going to Royal Free for a long time as it was on my way to and from work. They phoned me a couple of weeks ago wanting to move my appointment.  While checking my address,  the chap said, why don't you go to the local community hospital,  so I told him I had never been offered before.  I was thinking maybe they started the clinic because of c**I'd. It seems they have offered this there for a long time no idea why they didn't offer it before 🤔
Hot and sunny here too , gave up on the Allotment,  too hot for digging.

Yes @Obelixx and @Lizzie27, it has been a busy day  :)  I painted the new study ceiling and one wall this afternoon, it's not a big room. Couldn't do the rest because the big fridge, freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer are parked in there with the builder's bags of plaster and sheets of plasterboard.
