I rang and asked at my GP's for a jab appointment saying I'd be happy to have the Astra Zeneca. Was told my interest was noted but also told the the "ordre des Médecins" has yet to agree that it is safe for over 65s, no mater what the Govt now says. I'm keeping an eye on the local vaccination centres but they say they are full and are planning 1559 vaccines over 28 days so no new bookings. Clearly not ambitious enough.
It is cold here again and getting windier and colder but won't be wet till later this pm. I shall probably do a @Hostafan1 and hide in the PT to pot up the remaining fuchsias and maybe sow some seeds that don't need bottom heat.

We got our census letter Saturday too. OH looked at it, we will do it on line I expect. I heard somewhere the French Gov't have a million doses of the AZ vaccine. As several Doctors have said the best vaccine is the one in your arm. They just need to get on with it.
Unfortunately there's been as much Covid coverage on French TV as on the Beeb and ITV so I know French people who have believed the initial govt line and are now deeply suspicious of the Astra Zeneca vaccine. It seems the doctors are too. Mad.

I can't even get onto a GP's list here. They say to come back when I'm ill. The GPs were only given 10 vaccines each for vulnerable patients and the waiting lists for the vaccination centres are full.
I have mown the grass, can't really call it a lawn, with the tractor mower, took an hour, last garden took the best part of 4 hours to do everything, but that included a steep bank with the small mower which took an hour.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Hi all from a rainy Kent today! Managed to get out for a walk around the block this morning before the weather kicked in. Was lovely to see the primroses out and smiling even if the sun wasn't.
Crocuses are in full swing in the front garden - I planted them last autumn so glad they have come up. I purchased a multi pack of the purple and orange ones and the orange have been up for a couple of weeks, they were ALL orange. I was starting to think I was mis-remembering buying the multipack but behold! a purple one has popped its head up this morning... hopefully there will be a few more! The snowdrops however not successful at all. Several have popped up but they are a single flower and only about 10cm tall. I will invest in some different varieties for next year I think and any bulbs that I put in the back garden haven't materialised as it was just so wet over winter they must have rotted
Hunkered down for a couple of rainy days now, roll on Sunday when the weather looks nicer and I can prick out my seeds and get out to do some more tidying.
What doesn't help is that my work system is down today and I am here twiddling my thumbs - I'm very bored!!!!!
Hello folks you have all been busy posting. Wet and windy here too so not a gardening day. My landscaper chappy has just been to look at my new path project so I'll have to wait for a quote but he says he's very busy with work. Apparently because of lockdown people have spent ages looking at their gardens and now want to do something about it. Is your son having a stapedectomy @Dovefromabove ? Both myself and my son have had those to improve our hearing and it has improved matters. Hope it works for him.
