The weather channel told us that Cooma dropped to zero this morning. I believe him! I eventually got out of bed, had breakfast and we will soon go into town for our usual Wednesday shopping jaunt. 😃
The shopping list that I leave on the end of the table for us to note things that are running out, has quite a big list today.
Not looking forward to tomorrow. Booked in for a mammogram in Canberra. Our friends are driving us up because Hubby seems to run out of energy in the afternoons, so it would be dangerous for him to make the 2 hour drive home. At least we will be able to give our daughter a quick visit while there. I haven’t seen her for a good while. It’s also a chance to give our grandson a birthday gift for his 22nd birthday.
I love holly @Pat E ... huge Holly hedges grew all around the farm when I was a small child. The sight of a holly bush full of berries makes me smile 😃
We have another beautiful sunny morning.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
I like holly too, there are too holly trees on the edge of garden, but unfortunately they have got carried away with themselves, I am working my way up to dealing with them a bit but for now I am just looking and pondering - not an easy job.
My new giant hosta is arriving today, very excited.
Hoping to spend most of the day tidying up in the garden and moving the last few plants before I start turning some of what were the more complex flowerbeds into grass. That leaves me with just my new 'Hot' Crescent Bed, my White Patch, my Rose Garden, a little shady shrub corner and the long border by the pool to look after. More than enough once I get back to work - hopefully sooner rather than later, but not holding my breath. I have told the gardener he will need to come once a week once that happens. Charlie is head grass cutter. Luckily the garden at CdeG is very manageable and I can do that each morning before I start work.
It has been awful not working, and not knowing when we will open again, but transforming my 'old' garden has bee a real life saver in so many ways.
However, before all that, I really must pass the vacuum cleaner over the floor indoors.
Have a good day all.

Just to reaffirm that autumn has arrived here, I took a photo in front of the PO in town today. Holly berries everywhere.

Early start for us to get to hospital to look at my dodgy finger.
