I think the video says that a spot is OK to plant another rose as long as the rose being taken out hasn't been growing in that spot for more than 5 years.

Thank you @Bright star for the link to the video! I couldn’t quite catch what exact type of marigold Bunny mentioned in the video, can anyone post it here?

About aphids, I’ve been reading about worm castings helping with aphid control (https://journeywithjill.net/gardening/2019/05/21/3-organic-aphid-control-methods-tested/) — anyone have experience with this (for roses or other plants)?

I'm delighted your New Dawn is recovering @D0rdogne_Damsel

..re the Tagetes... yes the Nema or Nemagold above is recommended or the other one obtained in the UK is called 'Durango Tangerine' or just 'Tangerine'...   they must be either Tagetes erecta or Tagetes patula varieties,...

..do not confuse with or get Tagetes tenuifolia 'Tangerine Gem' as sold by Sarah Raven, it's the wrong type apparently..

I can't be doing with it myself but there you go..

I have no shortage of wine boxes, but thought the 6 bottle box Bunny had was a bit on the small side, you would have to root prune many bare root roses to get them in and bury the graft as well. Probably won’t make much difference in the end but I feel it’s a good excuse to go the full dozen at the wine merchants 😆

I also wonder if advice has moved on since DA back in the 80’s said you only get RRD after a rose has been in 5 years @peteS? Peter Beales says in a 1997 book after 2 years. I change the soil if a rose has been in one year and use MF on a better safe than sorry basis.

Thanks @Marlorena for the specifics. I think the easiest way is just to pot up the roses with the mycorrhizal fungi for 8 weeks before hand.
