    Thanks @cooldoc2000, that Fairy rose at Kew looks just like mine.  @Marlorena, isn't it good to see all the new growth. One or two of my roses have really red young leaves, especially the Etoile du Hollande.

    @Marlorena Do you plant your roses inside the obelisk or outside? What are the factors you consider before deciding on the position? TIA.

    @Eustace
    ... I plant outside now, it's easier to remove a rose should you tire of it and want to change.. and also to plant an extra rose on the opposite side... so 2 roses.. it doesn't look right and is awkward to deal with, if one rose is planted in the middle..

    I have 7 obelisks... 1 has 3 roses on it [not recommended].. 4 have 2 roses,  and 2 have just the 1 rose on it..

    Lovely warm day today, so everything's noticeably further along than yesterday.

    Tulips are bounding along, wallflowers almost there, rosa Moonlight going great guns (can't wait for that to bloom).

    I did a bit in the garden yesterday moving things around and making room for Gabriel oak when it turns up this week sometime had a email today saying its been dispatched . The email says the parcel contains Gabriel oak and Desdemona , Desdemona arrived last week in a pot I thought I'd cancelled  :/ so it looks like a may have another Desdemona for free unless I email them about the mix up send it back .

    It was aphid picking day. Hate those vampires sucking blood out of my roses. They appear red when drinking from the beautiful red leaves and green when they are on green leaves. On positive note, saw a few lady bugs, none were on my roses though.
