Re mildew Albertine is dreadful for it and the white rambler its with. Ive pruned it more to improve airflow this year, but I use "fungus clear" spray to treat it, its very good, gets rid of it and not known to harm wildlife.  Make sure its just the fungus one though not the ultra with nasty bug spray in.

Thanks @edhelka, tho the very breezy poly has about 70% area of permanently rolled up windows/doors, I only close them overnight when a freeze is due and have been putting all but the teas outside on warm days. The other 22 roses in there are fine, including Arthur de Sansal which is known to be very susceptible to mildew. I do think it’s a specific problem with my Alexander specimen, which has blotchy dying foliage as well as the bad mildew- it is now sprayed and moved permanently outside. The other Beales rose with a touch, Ivor’s rose, has been outside in a larger pot all the time so I can’t blame the poly there! I guess only time will tell 😊

Wow, that is impressive @Omori, nice plants too.

I've just noticed this on my Harlow Carr...looks like die back, yet everything above it seems perfectly healthy and budding. Any ideas as to what it is and should I be concerned.
