I quite like Nye Bevan, gorgeous shape and beautiful colour, reminds me of proper ice cream!

Im about to start the great rose plant of 2021 or at least some of it (cant walk on the cemented areas yet so being careful), wish me luck... Most of the roses are sprouting away happily, apart from Styles "simply gorgeous" and "Fabulous", typically two of my most looked forward to and more expensive ones as they were exclusive... Im quite worried about them, hopefully see some life soon.

"Koko Loko" replacement arrived yesterday from you garden after I complained the previous one looked terrible with dieback - this ones only slightly better, Im going to see what happens if I prune it after ive taken pics but I suspect I'll be asking for a refund.  I think they have stored the bare roots badly and they have gotten musty, and they've just stuffed them in pots of loose compost before they send them out.
  • I've bought some bare roots rose bushes. Do I need to soak them before planting? First timer!

It said for at least two hours in my planting guide. Some people would say even longer.

Amazing thanks! I'm spreading some alpaca poop on my rose bedding area today so I'll soak/plant tomorrow

...the more I look at 'Nye Bevan' the more I feel I want it.. for a pot at least and I think it looks suitable for an English style cottage garden, anywhere in the world, which is what it's all about...  I rather like the pink tinged buds with red flashes on the outside petals.. and it doesn't look too thorny... I shall be joining the queue on Wednesday...

...No, I would suggest you leave that rose as is, for now... you have lots of buds breaks all along those canes... the growth habit suggests to me an interesting rose there, maybe an older type with its arching canes... we need to see the blooms, so best not do anything drastic at this point... you could remove all that weedy stuff around the base though...
