Guilty as charged! Having egged you all on to order from TCL, I have decided not to. Partly because two of the roses I wanted were out of stock so I’m going to wait until autumn. Still haven’t dug the beds for many I already have, so sensible decision.
I’m glad you got a Graham Thomas @Marlorena and also Stormy Weather- be interesting to hear how it does for you.

Of those 4, 'WOH' and 'LA' would be the least thorny, but as with most low thorn roses, they do have some big ones at the base of the plant, the first 1 foot or so, which can surprise when you receive them, but all the extension growth is low thorn...
As much as I loved 'Bonica' it's not the easiest rose to maintain because it needs supporting if grown freestanding.. it's best against a wall or trellis/fence.. it gets very top heavy with the massive clusters of blooms and can flop forward.. I had to tie it back or put stakes in.. it will grow as a short climber.. it's one of the world's best and most floriferous roses.. but lacks scent.. totally disease free for me and does not need spraying for aphids, it grows through them completely without effort..
'WOH' I found impossible to maintain as a shrub... it needs support or the canes will flop forward and end up on the ground.. mine grew 8 feet in the first season.. the scent is very strong, but of the myrrh kind, which not everyone likes.. I liked it.. but now I prefer Jude the Obscure, so I have that..
'LA' is a gorgeous white rose, lightly scented, exceptionally healthy and can also be grown as a short climber where I think it's seen to best advantage... it has a failing in that the first flush of blooms are so many petalled and in clusters, that some of them face the ground.. later blooms are less petalled and remain upright facing you.. I've had it as a shrub, and short climber in a pot.
'PA' was not the healthiest rose for me, it defoliated after the first flush, but you shouldn't go by that, as my conditions here can be harsh in the summer months, often drought ridden in east anglia.. I've seen it looking magnificent, but I preferred 'Gabriel Oak' which is similar..
I can't really decide for you which to choose unfortunately, so I have to leave that up to you..
David Austin’s search facility is rubbish isn’t it - very selective, for example select ‘red roses’ and it includes decidedly not red Veilchenblau and Hansa but not other actual DA bred reds like Darcy Bussell or LD Braithwaite!
@REN_AmateurG same goes if you search DA for (nearly) thornless roses, other sites that supply DA roses list Dame Judy Dench and James Galway as such, but they don’t show up on the DA site.

Thanks for noting that. However if you put into the search box 'search' and 'forum' the thread on how to search the forum does not come up.

Then refine by type (climbing/shrub) and then finally by colour.
If you go straight for colour it only shows a fraction of the total number. I've contacted them about this last year, but hasn't been fixed.
