    Ooo it does look good growing like that, thanks Omori.

    @Omori, @Bright star, wow beautiful GC photos. I need to find some new place for mine. It is in part shade and not so open position.

    @Voyagerxp me personally, empathy rose feed.  Its one styles roses recommended and I tried it last year in summer feed and seriously noticable difference! Colour, scent and vigour was really noticable.

    Not sure if it's the best but I use Wilko Rose food and I'm happy with my roses performance. Whether that's due to the food or despite it I don't know!

    Following discussions and photos here, I went out at dawn in my dressing gown to closely examine leaf growth on the roses. I find the Moonlight has actual green rose buds on it. It went on flowering until Dec and is back in gear already, which is pretty amazing. The various roses put in over the winter are looking hopeful, lots of new growth. (New clems look sorry for themselves but have greening and I'm sure will be fine). Crimson glory is covered in leaf shoots. One Etoile is going to be a handful, but fun. I had zero blooms on that last year, so I hope it's been saving itself up.

    ...that's nice, I'm glad you enjoyed it @cooldoc2000

    ... no doubt it was about Roses .. I struggle to talk about anything else usually, which is handy in an argument when you really have to go and check on that new leaf that's just appeared..

    @fire.. likewise it seems ...

    Your roses did very well. Thats good to know. Last year i didnt apply any rose food. Just occasionally wilko tomato feed. This year i have bought wilko rose food and wilko tomato feed and i was wondering if i am going to regret cutting cost. I now think it would be ok.

    @Marlorena I agree. Roses keep us occupied enough.
    @Fire Early buds!! Is it normally an early bloomer?
