Sir John Mills - has really recovered after its first year of neglect.
Mountbatten
Rhapsody In Blue - is taller than expected or planned!
And finally
Climbing Arthur Bell - has nearly grown across the whole rope structure.
I can't wait for them to start flowers. I didn't really thinks things through so there is going to be a complete colour clash which I'm sure will come together somehow
Everyone's roses coming on a treat, even though we're all a bit behind I think.. some of mine appear to be at a standstill..
..my aphid collection is booming.. you know you love them as much as I do..
..talking of Narcissus... if you want something aromatic [?]..these 'Acropolis' are difficult to beat.. said to smell of Gardenias.. I would say, medicinal or disinfectant.. it wafts and really it's powerful stuff. I've started hardening off... these are 'Alonsoa'.. a tender perennial I like to grow with my roses..
I like a good colour clash @AlliumPurpleSensation but I'm sure they will all look lovely. Your roses all look really well; most of mine are frost damaged to some degree.
Oh my word. I really struggled to get my head around connecting the second water butt up (complicated by the new one being a different height to the old)
Ended up with spaghetti junction! I never want to do this again. It's a new phobia 😅
Similar question to what's been discussed earlier: I'm fairly new to roses, and went a bit bare root crazy over winter. Those I planted in October all leafed out about a month ago and look fairly healthy, they are clearly still alive, but seem to have gone into some sort of stasis. They had a good initial spurt, but just seemed to have stopped in their tracks for the last month and stopped growing. Is it the crazy weather, just normal or am I doing something wrong? Gabriel oak below unchanged in a month
I am planting edging plants and new perennials this weekend. And spending an hour watering on both days, to be able to plant and to keep everything alive. We have a small heatwave here - 18C yesterday and 15C today. Everything is really dry, I think the last "rain" we had was a little bit of snow 3 or 4 weeks ago. And I am seeing more and more blackspot. @celcius_kkw It looks like the way to go is to keep it simple - one type of tulips and one type of daffs. I often overcomplicate things. @Mr. Vine Eye Happy to hear about the allotment.
My generic white climber is still going strong in its second year, hope this year it flowers! My newest acquisition planted end of last year is Sparkle a patio rose, it too is growing well.
A lot of it stop-start going on @Rickyjones24, just weather. I’ve had colour showing on one bud for nearly a month and it still looks the same. If it’s been dry where you are, a good watering in the morning would help if you are not already doing that. Don’t do it in the evening, too much of a shock of the temperature drops overnight. I did a full summer-style deep watering of everything today, it’s never been so dry. At least we are enjoying some sun, though.

@Nollie
I don't think you spray do you?.. are you considering it for your sawflies?.. you do seem to be plagued at the moment..
All your roses are looking great @purplerallim and @AlliumPurpleSensation.
