Morning everyone. Damp soggy start here in Kent. Hoping to manage a stroll round the block at lunchtime in between showers!
I'm looking towards the weekend which is looking brighter so will be able to get out and do some jobs. I also have next week off work (yay!) so have got a garden shelf structure thingy to put together which it the beginning of a project i have in mind so that will be one of my many "pottering" jobs!
I also have things popping up on the windowsill so I'm very pleased about that!
Hello all, back from the SM for weekly shop. All the winter sale stuff cleared away now and replaced with lawn mowers and plants that will all be dead by the end of the month, no natural light and no one watering them! It's a beautiful sunny day, the cold wind has gone and the garden beckons. Have a good day all.
Our skies have been getting bluer for the last hour or so @floralies. Love it.
OH has just enquired about a new mulching mower form Mr Bricolage which saves me a job when I go to Leclerc for my weekly run tomorrow. I shall have a look at plants in case there are any gems before they get sad and dry and limp.

Hi folks, Bit of a nondescript day here, weather wise. Have some phoning round to do today, including a call to Suttons to find out what has happened to my raised beds. Have found an alternative supplier if they cant give me a delivery date. Haven't sown any seeds yet but will get started soon now that I have sorted out all the bits and bobs I need.
Yes @WonkyWomble, would you like to sort my greenhouse when you're finished with yours? I need some sealant for mine but I need brown as it's cedar. Trouble is that will involve going to a SHOP 😱. Also needs to be dry a while or it won't work.
Veggies for us too @Dovefromabove but sweet potato and pumpkin curry with home made naans or chapatis and something green. The chooks will love the cooked sweet potato peel and fresh pumpkin seeds - Crown Prince.
First tho, a mucky spell outside now I've had my post lunch coffee.

Afternoon Forkers, wonder how Punkdoc is getting on. Hope he coped with the excitement of getting out and actually seeing other people. It started out here with lovely mild sunny weather, so have actually done some gardening - potted on 3 Gauras I bought from Secret Garden recently. Then I went to move an old rotten wooden crate we'd left in the orchard all winter as I suddenly remembered my fritillaries were underneath. Helpfully it was so rotten it fell to pieces, so bits went onto my wildlife logpile and the rest can be put gradually into the Council green bin. Unfortunately it's now raining so that's it for today.
Yesterday was my youngest grandson’s 12 th. birthday, I haven’t been to their house since his birthday last year, had to post a present too him. I've only seen my great grandson once in 2 years. He’s called Gawain and lives in Wales.

Just been prepping veg for a Shakshuka for supper ... then it'll be a mug of soup for lunch and I'll get on with knitting the woolly hats.
