Yes, I'd gathered that but I'd never heard of it before and didn't have a clue how to pronounce it, rather embarrassing. I thought I was aware of most Irish names as we have friends in Cork.
Bless Sir Tom ... I think he enjoyed his last year ... I hope he did ... he certainly added to the quality of our lives in difficult times. Definitely a hero RIP

Of course birds have faces @Dovefromabove, especially Robins.
That looks like a torture mat @D0rdogne_Damsel, rather you than me! Can't say I'm keen on running either
It's been a busy day. We had to go to a garage to deal with OH's change of address for his car, website didn't like his email address. We went to the nearby pharmacy about his eye infection. They said he needed to see an online doctor for antibiotics. They had a cabin with a computer and we talked to a young lady doctor on a screen, then the prescription printed out and we were able to buy the antibiotic drops.
Then we went to the local Leclerc SM. They had salmon steaks and cod loin at nearly half price so I bought some to put in the freezer.
This afternoon I made marmalade from some rather bitter mandarines and also made a loaf of wholemeal bread with grains in it, but that was in the breadmaker. Did a load of washing too, but the machine did that.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Good morning all 😊 ☕️ hello @LToby ... good to see you 😊 Certainly the evenings are getting lighter now so spring is on its way ... although it looks as if we’ve got a wintry spell coming up next week ⛄️

Good morning @WonkyWomble ... waking at 5:30 is normal here ... it’s sleeping until 7 that’s unusual ... but not had a coffee yet ... better nudge the coffeemaker 😉

Rest in Peace Captain Tom Moore.

I'm already on second coffee. Another disturbed nights sleep, been awake since 5.30am. 🥱
