Morning all. Sorry to hear about your finger Hosta. We all have to watch those little mistakes, don’t we? It’s so easy to just do things like swooshing your hand into water as we usually do without considering open wounds.
Today 25th is the anniversary of my late daughter dying. She would have been 58. Hard to believe! I’m not feeling morbid about it. Just noting the date in remembrance of what a lovely daughter she was.😁
I’m starting the washing but the clouds are threatening. Typical! When I’m wanting rain, there’s none, now when I want a clear day, I think we’re going to get some! I might have to drag the indoor drying rack out of the spare room.😃
I've joined you early this morning, have roofers coming at 7.30 AM to repair a flat roof, forecast is for dry weather but we had some rain during the night.
From me too @Pat E 💐. It will be 8 years with my Mum gone next month and every year I buy bunches of Daffodils, give some to family and have vases full at home.
Struggling to leave my cuppa and get dressed for work...
Aching this morning, bit of a full on day yesterday, painted all of the terrace supports and then came back to the garden determined to finishing digging over a bed that I've been trying to get done for seemingly months. It was dark when I finished, but that did include burning the rubbish too. My back definitely feels a little stiff this morning.
It is going to be grassed over, it is/was right at the bottom of the garden in a very shady spot and just got neglected, there were 3 or 4 Buddleja in there that has also taken over. The worst thing though was the nettles, my golly they were so tall and the roots were literally entangled everywhere, yards of them. It took longer because I was trying to rescue some of the plants buried in there too. I did find some lovely Hellebores and violets and as soon as the last of the snowdrops and daffodils are finished I am moving them too. Then that will be one less flowerbed to worry about. I am keeping the Magnolia, it is so lovely and just a bit too big to move. I still have to find a home for one last Rhododendron too.
I'll be happy to move on to the next project now.

Morning all love and hugs to Pat E, cannot imagine loosing a child. Now best friends' with my next door neighbour, our Mums died in the same month, (not quite the same day) in the same Hospice, what are the odds.
Hugs to @Pat E and @AuntyRach. However long ago the loss the anniversaries do bring back the awful feeling of loss again. Nice idea to use flowers to help bring cheer.

Thanks everyone. We are ok.Have had a good talk to my second daughter. She was very close to Susan, and still grieves a bit, but I talked her around and made her think about how much pleasure we’d had over the years with her.
Morning all. Hello @Loraine3, I hope the roofers arrived. Not many of us had arrived yet when you popped in.
Looks like another fine day. I'm not aching so much this morning. I need to prepare the other bed so I can get the last 2 bare root roses planted. I had to dig them all up as daughter had put them all in together in the veg garden when she gave them to me but I could only plant 3 of them yesterday. The climber is still in a pot and needs planting too. Rose arch should arrive today.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Not sure what today holds ... some sorting out in the studio needs to be done ...

Finger still sore, and red, and swollen
