Much as enjoy the rugby, I still can’t quite believe that it is all allowed. Seems so wrong that people still haven’t seen/hugged their family when sportspeople are carrying on their games. Just my opinion.
Question...
What’s another benefit to a mid-week chicken dinner?...
The fry-up/bubble and squeak the next day!
Looking forward to it.
I hope all are doing ok, particularly those having a tough time or ailments.
Managed a little while in the garden, beautifully sunny. Still can't seem to get my head round, that i can only manage 1-2 hours, whereas a couple of years ago, I would be out there from dawn to dusk, and sometimes longer. Need to adjust my mindset and try to be happy with what I can do, not moan about what i can't.
I've worked all day in the garden but am definitely feeling it now, I used to just keep going with no adverse effects. This getting old lark is very frustrating. 🙄 I've got myself a few scratches and blisters (Pampas Grass pruning and lots of other cutting back) knuckles are throbbing, nothing serious but I'm feeling feeble, so glad it's not as bad as a sledgehammer wound inflected with water butt water. 😱 A man coming tomorrow to look at removing three trees, sad but true, planted in the wrong place by previous owners and now causing problems. Twisted willows. We'll see what he says about them. Good night all.

I started the next bed and planted 2 roses in it, Felicia and Cornelia. The metal rose arch arrived from Meilland Richardier and I put that up, quite easy. I'll plant the Eden Rose on one side, it's lived in a pot for the last 3 or 4 years, and I'll buy a clematis for the other side.
I also have a man coming tomorrow, @D0rdogne_Damsel, to look at trees, Leylandii. They need their heads cut off. They were supposed to be a hedge.
My fingers are so swollen I can't take my wedding off, it used to be loose but now it hurts sometimes, too tight. Not sure who to ask, doctor or jeweller?
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
There is a way to get a tight wedding ring off but I'm not exactly sure how. It's something to do with winding twine or thread around your finger then easing the ring over it. Perhaps there may be something on youtube, or failing that a jeweller would be the best option. I had this done a few years ago, the jeweller was then able to stretch the ring and make it fit. I just Googled 'removing tight rings' and there is a video using narrow ribbon to remove ring or you can use dental floss.
@Busy-Lizzie the way I read is to rub the finger with hemorrhoid cream ... this should ‘shrink’ the finger temporarily. Worth trying if there’s any available.
I was singing the praises of our elderly boiler the other day ... now it won’t maintain pressure and there’s a slight drip. I’ll be on the British Gas website tomorrow 🙄
Anyway, now it’s our bedtime ... hope the fragile, walking wounded and all under the weather gardeners have a good night’s sleep. Night night all 😴

That “cream” reference made me laugh Dove. I wonder how many of you have a supply.🙄
Today, there is clear blue sky as far as the eye can see. Yesterday’s clouds disappeared as soon as I hung the washing inside on the rack. The washing is still hanging inside this morning. 😡
We’re off to town today for my 6 monthly blood test. I’ve to see my GP on Wednesday, so she’ll be able to have another go at me about how much of Hubby’s cakes and slices I’ve consumed. 🙄. I must say that his latest endeavour has been very tasty. A coconut slice with condensed milk and lemon juice sitting on crushed Marie biscuits. 😜 a no-cook slice.

Just been back to Docs'. Index finger hit, but my hand was so swollen I've had to take off my wedding ring.
