Friable, I believe, is the word. At any rate, after the rain, I have a three day window before the concrete clay returns.  I can imagine I have perfect soil, slide out the weeds and slip in the plants😊

Decided to go to Morrisons yesterday after seeing s couple of specials I fancied. Last year we threw away the stained, torn, lounger cushions. Looked on well known online sites for replacements, shocked at prices, looked at whole thing, we're only talking basic fold up metal job here. They were all around £100. Bought a cover which looked Ok £13, says fine cotton, it's not,it's thin and rubbish. THEN,just inside Morrisons,by the (empty) hand sanitizer, cushions for loungers,£17 each,2 for £30,nice,thick,padded. Only had navy/white striped one frame is Green, but I can live with that

French fish markets give the local name, the Latin name and where it was caught.    Quite a lot is locally caught but whenever they say Channel, North East Atlantic or North Sea I assume British waters.

All sorts of fish you wouldn't see in a British fishmonger's display unless he has very adventurous customers.

It is crazy Obelixx.  An island nation where most people seemingly don't eat fish!

IMHO it's be better if the whole planet gave up eating fish for a decade. Not that it'll happen.

Fish can be wonderful @Hostafan1!  Loads of varieties, textures, possible dishes to cook.   Yum.

But not sea snails and slugs or wee shells drowned in vinegar and no raw shellfish such as oysters.

Lovely to walk outside today and after weeks of silence to hear the chuckle of water running over rocks. :)
From a sluggish trickle the stream is now restored again, and the little waterfalls are living up to their  name at last. Still some way to go before it reaches the roar of February snowmelt though. A comfort still, as the stream is mostly sourced by run off from our water supply, so at least the risk of empty taps is deferred!

A massacred callicarpa stump I re-planted elsewhere is showing new life. Fingers crossed it survives.
