That is a reason to be cheerful but I fear it will be a long battle. The greys have completely taken over the woodland of the estate next to where I live.

Oh dear. Does a beer help? Either the fish or the keeper.  Or both.

It's now becoming a major problem in their strongholds of Perthshire @Uff:(
I don't know if you watch our countryside programme [Landward] but there was an item recently about it.
I think I mentioned on the forum not long ago about the pine marten experiment, but that hasn't worked either. It's really serious now. The people who think they're cute cuddly little darlings are so misguided.  :/

Yes I watch Landward Fairygirl and saw the programme you mention. Do you mean the pine martens or the greys? The local estate has a shoot policy for the greys and if asked they will loan out traps and collect them if a grey has been caught.
It's something of an understatement when I say that I'm a wildlife lover but I hate the greys with a passion. It was very misguided to have imported them in the first place.

The pine marten experiment isn't working @Uff.
They prey on greys, and the theory was that the introduction of more of them would keep them 'in check', but the little b******s were multiplying too quickly for the martens to keep up.  :/

Yes indeed and I don't know the answer and I suspect that those in the know don't either.

My Smart meters, that had lost their wit when I left British Gas, have just passed their 11 plus and are back on stream. Huzzah. Now the aggro has started as Shell say I can adjust the read frequency of the meters (as I could in the past with BG), but that option doesn't exist in my account settings where they say it should be.

PS 72 pints a lot? It's sound like a lot, but there used to be 4 of us drinking over 4+ days (we get together on Christmas Eve and will part next Tuesday/Wednesday) - so 72/4=18. 18/4=4.5. We tend to play games around a table all day (Santa always brings two or three new games each year and we have box loads of the things) til about midnight'ish. So 4.5/12 - less than half a pint an hour.

And lots of people waiting for players to return from the loo as the evenings wear on I suspect @steveTu.
