Smoke alarm beeps to indicate battery low. Twists smoke alarm to left to undo, removes battery, put in new job done, test smoke alarm all working.

It won’t be for everyone yet … that’s still a long way to go … but there’s hope that future generations won’t be condemned to episodes of pain and misery throughout their lives, as @WonkyWomble ‘s husband has to endure. ❤️

Surgery may seem to be an odd RTBC, but I had a physio consultation about my hip yesterday and was told that more time on physio and pain control won't help, so I have been referred for hip replacement.  I know it's still a long way ahead before the procedure but at least it's light at the end of the tunnel to get mobility back.

Having spent a lot of time researching new showers, OH rolled his sleeves up and prepared to examine the old one in detail. First off, a long shot, changed the batteries in the digital controller, despite it not showing a low battery warning. Few minutes later, it’s working as normal. He is cussing away at the time wasted identifying a compatible replacement. I’m just happy it’s working again, and we haven’t had to spend a lot of money.

Makes me think Attenborough may not need to pay for an ad for his replacement,  just leave the camera!!

I do rarely post on here. Monday,I saw my oldest grandaughter and her Mum, haven't seen them for 6 years because they live the other side of the country. Mum doesn't drive. Last time we were due to meet I was ill! Time before that, invited them to stay,I have one spare bedroom, youngest daughter none. We were going to juggle sleeping arrangements between us.THEN she met a new bloke, had TWO more babies in quick succession,so it wasn't feasible.  Not with 7 of them. Was great to see them. Even my son ,(his daughter,) managed to come,he has serious mental health issues, and is back on the antidepressants. She now works in mental health,so is more understanding. Back in the spring,I posted I bought a plant in a garden centre, some miles away,in the house plant section, put in a big pot,all shade lovers, watered and it dropped "leaves" etc and "died" THEN looked it up,it was a POND PLANT. Rang garden centre, want money refunded and fuel money. They refused with out receipt, would accept bank statement, which I would have to pay for, plus fuel and parking to visit bank, plus then driving back to the garden centre, put it in the pond, picture enclosed

The grass is squishy. I've never known that before. It must have rained an awful lot. RTBC, I live on a hill.
    In London. Keen but lazy.
