The branch my daughter works in got a reward for something or other, and the manager had £100 to dish out to the staff. In other words - he saw a chance to get rid of all the cr*p no one's buying. The crowning glory is this What every festive gathering needs - yummm
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Thick frost that's looked as if it were snow here for days but nearly all gone this morning and it feels decidedly balmy out there. Gardening in my bikini today I reckon.
I don't know about bikinis @Liriodendron and Uff, I'm sitting here with 3 layers on, 2 pairs of socks and a blanket over my knees - and that's indoors with the heating on! I rather think I ought to get up and do some h/wk or something.
Same here, Lizzie27, although I am actually doing some housework, and it has warmed me up. Just put the recycling out and it’s grey and miserable out. Not nice, but OH and I will wrap up once it gets a bit darker, and take a stroll down the road opposite to admire the Christmas lights in the gardens and front windows.
Big parcel received - the annual Christmas pudding and Christmas cake made by my sister. She makes the pudding to our Uncle Bobby's recipe (he was a chef in the army) and it is always delicious. When I opened the parcel (and saw a Christmas angel decoration she had also made in there) I wept - for her skill and kindness and for the link back to our Christmases of old, at our grandparents with all the family there and eating Uncle Bobby's Christmas pudding - with a sixpence in it!

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
