6:20 here and still 29C outside.  Too hot and dry for gardening so I've come in for a water break from sunbathing.

OH’s birthday yesterday, met up with daughter and had a nice day out and lovely cake and coffee.
nice and shady/ hazy day when we got there but sun came out and it was very hot,  we walked all the way round the reservoir  said 3 miles, seemed longer.

edit, should have said it’s Siblyback Lake.

Our niece has just told us she and her husband are moving back to our town.  They originally moved to be nearer her father-in-law because he was on his own.  It has become apparent to them that he obviously preferred it that way as, when they go to visit him, they are just as likely to be kept on the doorstep and not allowed into his house!  There was also no support whatever from him when she was very ill earlier in the year.

Was taking the dogs out decided to take a picnic. Went to Seven Sisters Country Park, then walked to the sea.driving alone the A259 past Beachy Head, there were thousands of white butterflies about 10 feet from the ground. The fields have been cut, there is nothing there,no plants or flowers. It was amazing. Unfortunately it's a narrow road, clearway, and bank, you can't park to take pictures. Oh,and it's 28c

Had lunch with friends today. Great fun, table booked for 12.30 and we were still there chatting at 2.30, bet the restaurant was pleased to get rid of us! Then we had a lovely walk round the field at the farm shop. Apart from OH, don’t think I’ve talked to someone else for so long for the past year. Feel as if we’ve been away on holiday for a week.
