Morning all, goodnight @Pat E . One of my gardening customers has a coat for her little dog and it is fastened with velcro. Seems to work very well and easy when dogs wriggle!
Beautiful sunny day here, no frost!! Think I might get my nice new posh cosmos seeds and zinnia seeds on the go, kitchen windowsill will have to be cleared!!! The first of my snowdrops are out and beautiful crocus too. There are even a few brave daffodils in bud!!! Second coffee going down nicely, might need a third though.
I'm on my third @WonkyWomble ☕☕☕ ... spiced lentil and tomato soup is chuntering ... that'll do for lunch for a few days ... roast chicken, potatoes and veg are all prepped to go into the oven after lunch and I'll make the Yorkshire batter then.
Now I'll head for the studio ........

The bookcase is now in the guest room. I took the shelves out and OH and I got it up the stairs together. Should take about 6 boxes of books out of the garage.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Soup sounds good @Dovefromabove just seen brother womble and he seems to be feeling much better, must be my Shepherds pie! Roast chicken here today also and he's up for that too so think he's going to be fine!
@Busy-Lizzie you are a determined lady! But I don't blame you, I'd be exactly the same myself!
Morning all, @Dovefromabove I've got a little Monstera you can have, it's called Gabriel. Two years old, sturdy and very handsome. Drop me your postcode and I'll drop him down. Mind you I reckon you would send him back pretty quickly.
Had to have the ambulance yesterday for Firstborn and SIL. They think she has Pneumonia and will need an x-ray. Her oxygen levels are holding steady and when I spoke to her this morning she says that the antibiotics seem to be helping. She's still not going into hospital. SIL is struggling today but he is a couple of days behind the others. Merri continues to improve and Mabel has no symptoms. Merri and Mabel are being very good. Merri is making Firstborn check her oxygen every two hours and has been sneaking into her room at night and checking while Firstborn is asleep. One of the doctors who saw them apparently contacted social services saying that there were two adults ill with children in the house. Firstborn wasn't best pleased considering she is responsible for safeguarding at a very large school and usually can't get children into care when they desperately need it. Social services were great though and said they weren't worried. Merri however was very upset, she had already had a bit of a shock with paramedics arriving dressed in (as she put it) nuclear haz mat suits, never mind the idea of 'being taken into care' . As she said, I don't know what they would do, we've got Covid where on earth were they going to put us.
It's freezing here this morning. Stay safe and warm everyone.
@Obelixx That electrical installation would be against regulations here. I'm surprised it's allowed there, to be honest.
Sorry for your loss, Pat E. Velcro is the way to go for the dog jumper, or just make it all in one piece but fairly short behind the front legs in a fairly 'soft' knit so it's got enough give in it to get those little legs through the holes. Cute dog.
Hope your family are doing better Yvie
I had a quiet birthday yesterday and not much different today - yesterday was rain and gales, today it's a mix of heavy snow showers and drizzle. I'm always glad to get past it, apart from it being a sad anniversary for me, it always means winter's in its last phase once my birthday is over. February is often horrible but at least its short so March, and spring, will soon be here now.

I have always found January much easier to get thru than February and since we moved here even Feb has been easier but not this year. We've managed only 2 sunny walks on a beach and every other day has been miserable weather. That would feel bad without the added "bonus" of Covid restrictions and worries.

I guess it's a Cornish thing - the spring flowers start in February down there. We've got a few snowdrops just starting to turn up here. When the primroses appear, it definitely starts to feel more hopeful, even though it is still raining

Yes @raisingirl, we get primroses in February here which was a lovely surprise the first year and then there are cowslips and proper bluebells to follow. Helps a lot.
