@Pat E, I'm so sorry for your loss and even more so for his children.
    Glad your feeling better now.

@Yviestevie, I'm also sorry to hear that Firstborn and SIL are very poorly and do hope they get over the worst soon. I also have a very stubborn daughter who would probably refuse to go to hospital if she got Covid, I'm just praying that won't happen.

It's been very windy and cold here so haven't been out since our walk this morning. I was glad we wore our wellies as the lane we use was flooded right across. The wind is howling round the house now so glad we're in the warm and dry.
Hope the stupid protestors in Euston Square see sense and evacuate before their tunnel collapses. More rain is forecast.

Hello everyone. We’ve woken to a bright sunny day although there are very dark clouds building up to the south. The question is whether tto do the washing or wait another day. 🙄

im in the middle of knitting a dog coat for my daughter’s friend’s  little dog. It’s a little chihuahua and  as they live in the high country, she is shivering a lot.
I’ve been asked to use colours of the Mexican flag. (red, green and white).  The trouble is how to make a coat that will fit her without her belly dragging on the ground because she is so small. 😂 The pattern Im using has buttons on the under belly flap for easy removal, so I’m a bit worried that she might bite the buttons off and swallow them. Still thinking  about that.

It gives me something to ponder.

  • Good morning @Pat E and others to follow. Cute little coat and dog there Pat. :) I've noticed a lot of dogs in very jazzy coats lately, I'm not quite sure what the dogs themselves think.  :/

I am hoping to get some seeds planted today, I have the seed compost warming, the greenhouse isn't heated so I get the germination done in the house, underfloor heating and very large barn windows. I haven't got many seed trays so I have had to wait for the others to be big enough to transplant and put in th GH. Today I am doing more Tithonia and Ammi Majus.

But first, Joe Wicks, :o Have lost some more weight again this week, only a bit under a kg but at least a loss. Hopefully with a slightly better forecast this week I will be able to get out more in the garden, a much more enjoyable way of getting exercise.

It is also the last day of January so 'officially' the last day of Dry January, however, I think I am going to try and just have wine at the weekends so that leaves me dry until at least the 5th of February. Not that I am counting....

Have a good day all. I hope poorly people start to show signs of getting better, especially the @Yviestevie family. :)

    Morning all.

What about press studs @Pat E?

Rain again. I must try and sort out some boxes in the garage. There is a bookcase in the garage with a label for the removal men saying bedroom 3, but they didn't take it there, drat them. I wonder if I can get it up the stairs? Bit heavy. Then I can unpack some of the boxes of books.

    Good morning all 😊 ☕️ hello to @Pat E 😊 ☕️

    There’s sunshine outside ☀️
Thinking of @Yviestevie  and all worried ones 🤗

ive woken with uncomfortable sinuses ... I wonder if that explains the migraine yesterday? I shall sniff eucalyptus and take a couple of paracetamol, that should sort it.  I spoke to son last night and his jab side effects were wearing off ... he just felt a bit nauseous and heavy limbed.

Hi, DD and BusyL.  Yes, I have been wondering about press-studs as well.I’m planning on speaking to the dog owner when I’ve finished knitting it.  Nearly finished.  Just another day or two.

Annoying about the bookcase @Busy-Lizzie ... can it wait until a son is available to help? Don’t want you doing yourself a mischief and your OH must protect his hip 🤔

Morning all - hi @Pat E !  I was going to suggest Velcro for the dog coat fastening, but I don't know if it would be secure enough or if she'd snag it on bushes and rip it off...

Hope your sinuses clear, @Dovefromabove.  Not pleasant... glad to hear your son is getting over the jab ok though.

Well done on the weight loss, @D0rdogne_Damsel.  I'm sure slow and steady is best, otherwise it just piles back on again when you relax your guard.

Take care moving that bookcase, @Busy-Lizzie... might it be better to wait until some of your family are around to do the heavy stuff?

Thinking of you @Yviestevie and Firstborn, her OH and children.  xx

Not sure what I'll be doing today.  It's raining, and hubby isn't feeling too good... he suffers with panic attacks and depression.  Must think of a project to take his mind off himself...
