@Dovefromabove  Many many happy returns of the day today.  Enjoy some good wine and I hope you are making a special meal to mark the occasion.

Hiya, and a special Happy Birthday to @Dovefromabove, biggest hosta hugs from me.
Hiya to @chicky, @punkdoc et al.
Lots of rain overnight. I plan to venture up to the tunnels for a potter as it's not so cold now.

    That's lovely @AuntyRach.   Good find.

That's the kind of thing @chicky.   Mine looks like this so far

It starts with 4 equal squares or rectangles which get assembled, cut and reassembled so is not complicate but you do have to pay attention to sequencing and joins and it's definitely machine patch, not for hand sewing.   I can point you at some good online tutorials for beginners if you want to PM or email.

Thank you all ... you’re all very kind ... I’m having a lovely day. 🥳 lovely presents (including some coveted special brushes) and cards and phone calls ... and I’ve had Happy Birthday sung at me in both English and Russian😂

Chicky, I’m glad the immunotherapy is working for your dad 😊  My ‘Little Brother’ started his the week before Christmas so it’s early days yet ... he can’t manage without the Oramorph at present but is hoping that will change 🤞

As for chrysanthemums, this is one I’ve been tracking down for some years and at last I’ve found a grower who has it in stock ... I have some birthday money to spend 😊 http://www.norwellnurseries.co.uk/plant/?name=Chrysanthemum+%27Alison%27s+Dad%27

    Lovely to “see” you too @Pat E @WonkyWomble @Lizzie27 @Busy-Lizzie 😀😀😀

That sounds like a great haul of plants @Busy-Lizzie ..... looking forward to seeing your new garden come together .....lots of pictures please 🏡.  So pleased you finally got moved 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 for new beginnings, and hope you settle in quickly.

Here are some photos, chicky. Mostly grass, squelchy wet at the moment so can't do anything much yet, but I'm itching to get started.

    Garden from the terrace.

Gate to the fruit and vegetable gardens. I'm planning an arch over the gate with the Eden Rose my daughter gave me. The 5 pink shrub roses she gave me will go in the beds with lavender from my son and some other perennials.

This is the fence to the orchard, next year's project, more roses in front of the fence. Have bought them on an end of season offer and they are in the vegetable garden where they will stay until next year, they are very small.

These all have room for improvement.
