  • Morning all,

Happy Birthday @Dovefromabove. I do believe all the best people have birthdays in January. 🤭🎂

Wet again here, i*****g today. 🙄 Apparently it'll rain until at least Sunday. 😰

I'm going out to buy paint and wallpaper, with this extended closure I've decided once the kitchen is finished at CdeG I might as well get both the tearooms done too. I've got to have something to concentrate on. I think the downstairs room will need re-plastering in parts though, I've sent a message to my decorator chap.

Chelsea in September might be a really nice challenge for the designers. Something to look forward to with your sisters @chicky. 😁

We moved last year’s holiday forward from last June to September to this June and now it’s booked for the end of next September 🤞 so no @chicky not foolish at all 👍 ... it’s one of the things that’s keeping us going 🤪

Certainly a large proportion of them @D0rdogne_Damsel 🤗  ... a few in December and April too 😉
We watched for your place on tv but didn’t see it ... perhaps it’s in the next instalment? Or did we miss it ... should we watch it again?
    Thanks @Desi_in_London @punkdoc @Pat E and everyone 🥳 🥳 🥳

The rain doesn't show any signs of slowing let alone stopping here. We have had so much rain the garden is sodden! I'm not gardening today if it doesn't stop.  My waterproofs aren't waterproof anymore, split seams through over usage! I'll only make myself ill getting soaked so if it doesn't stop I'm at a bit of a loose end!
Decorating sounds a good plan @D0rdogne_Damsel I've got lots to do here but not chosen colours yet.  Good luck!

Morning all, Happy Birthday @Dovefromabove do you have a nice meal planned for later?
We were supposed to have a dry warm day here for a change but it is low cloud and very damp, I put a load of washing on hoping to put it out but not now by the look of it    :#
  • Happy birthday @Dovefromabove naturally I agree with @D0rdogne_Damsel about people who have January birthdays.
Our heavy rain has gone so hopefully you & Wonky will get some respite soon.

    Happy birthday @Dovefromabove.

SM day today but the weather is filthy at the mo so I'll go after lunch when it should have calmed down for a bit before getting seriously wet and windy again this evening.  This is our 5th winter here but the first proper one and I'm not used to spending this many days on the run indoors.  Getting stir crazy.

Good luck with the decorating @D0rdogne_Damsel.  Haven't used wallpaper for nearly 30 years.  None here either except for the mad stripes on the landing and their days are numbered.

I'd quite fancy Chelsea this year too @chicky but I'd have to stay with friends and not sue that'd be a good idea at this stage as all 27+ and no idea what travel restrictions will be in place.

Maybe take a mo to find some new waterproofs in the sales @WonkyWomble?  Not good having leaks at this time of year!

Stay warm and dry everyone.   Safe too.
