Morning all, or rather afternoon. Haven't been up for long as didn't sleep well. So sorry to hear your news @Pat E, that must be tough for you and your sister.
The sun is shining here and the snow is thawing. OH went out and said it wasn't too slippery out so I might try a walk later.
Happier news is that daughter is in her new home already in an amazing 2.1/2 hours. Three men made very quick work out of the old and in the new one without any problems. A bit concerning that none wore masks but I suppose not very doable if you are up and down stairs carrying heavy furniture. She tried to keep out of the way which wasn't easy in a tiny house. The new one's much bigger. Such a big relief.
Same here @Steephill and occasionally wooden furniture or trays.
Today was supposed to be cr*p weather but has been clear and sunny nearly all day but I have felt like cr*p and been cold and tired all day so snuggled on the sofa and read. Hope it passes as I really want to get outside and do some gardening tomorrow altho it's set to be very cold so maybe Wednesday.
Hope all those who've been feeling poorly, tired or worried about loved ones are doing better today.

I hope your daughter enjoys her new home and the extra space @Lizzie27. My removal men didn't wear masks either.
The shower room is now unpacked and put away, including the medicine cupboard. It needed cleaning inside the cupboards first. I've cleaned the sitting room, it had got quite dusty.
This morning I went out to post letters and give a signed contract and bank numbers to the water board. Then I went to the local GP practice but they said I couldn't enrol unless I was ill as they are overflowing and there is often 3 hours wait to see a doctor.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Try another @Busy-Lizzie? Must be more than one in the area. The one I use has an online appointment system and sometimes I have a 3 week wait but OH goes to another who has open surgeries a couple of times a week where you just turn up and wait. He only needs his annual MOT and regular gout meds prescription.

Thanks @Busy-Lizzie. She phoned this morning, very happy. Is now enjoying a glass of fizz and a take-away. I've been busy cleaning up after her cat, not a nice job. Although we enjoy having him, I think we'll be quite glad when he goes home. She's now got to isolate for 10 days before she comes back up to us just to be on the safe side. Sorry you're not feeling good Obelixx, hope you feel better tomorrow and anybody else feeling poorly. I think I must have missed a post from Yviestevie, hope her family are okay as well.
Evening all, A very cold night again here, although once in bed I never notice it. Still sleeping under a 4.5 tog quilt. Looked after the boys this afternoon as Gabriel's pre school is closed with Covid. Their dad looked after them this morning as I wasn't going to drive over until a thaw had set in. Managed to get back before the roads froze again. Will probably be doing the same tomorrow. Spoke to Merri and Firstborn this evening they are still feeling very poorly.
Glad to hear your daughter has managed to move into her new place @Lizzie27
You forget how much their is to do when you move @Busy-Lizzie I hated doing all the change of address stuff the last time we moved house.

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
